Forbes names the safest tourist city in the world

The next positions in the top 10 are Sydney, Australia, Zürich, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Denmark, Seoul, South Korea, Osaka, Japan, Melbourne, Australia and Amsterdam (Netherlands).

The study analyzed factors such as crime, health care quality and natural disaster risk and assigned a safety score from 0 to 100, with cities with the lowest scores being the safest destinations.

Based on the study's assessment, Singapore scored 0. Of the 60 cities analyzed, Singapore had the lowest risk of natural disasters and the second lowest risk of infrastructure and health.

The study also analyzed digital security risks, with the ability to freely use the Internet without fear of online attacks or privacy violations. Singapore was rated as having the second lowest digital security risk on the list.

Among the cities, Tokyo ranked as having the lowest health risk and the fifth lowest infrastructure security risk. Japan and Australia were the only two countries with two cities ranked in the study's top 10.

Among the riskiest cities, only Caracas, Venezuela, scored 100.

Pakistan's Karachi was ranked as the second riskiest city in the study. Forbes Advisor ranked Karachi as the city with the highest personal security risk as well as the fourth highest infrastructure security risk.

Myanmar's Yangon ranked third in the list of the world's most unsafe cities for tourists, followed by Nigeria's Lagos, the Philippines' Manila and Bangladesh's Dhaka.
