(PLVN) - On the afternoon of November 7, in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a press conference about the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors".
The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 is a cultural and tourism festival of Lam Dong province, organized to promote the image of culture, people, and tourism of Da Lat - Lam Dong to domestic and international tourists. This is a provincial-level cultural and tourism event aiming at national and international scale that will take place throughout 2024, with a peak in December 2024.
Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said: This is not only a festival for the people of Lam Dong province but also a meeting place for domestic and international tourists to experience the unique cultural and tourism values of Da Lat. At the same time, it continues to affirm and honor the values of flowers and the flower growing profession of Da Lat - Lam Dong; creating opportunities for growers, producers, traders of flowers, vegetables and special agricultural products of Lam Dong to exchange, discuss and develop the profession in the trend of international integration, green and sustainable.
"The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 continues to affirm Da Lat city as the Flower Festival city of Vietnam, a creative city in the field of music of UNESCO and a city in the "Group of 5 impressive Festival cities of Asia", said Mr. Pham S.

The festival also contributes to promoting the cultural style of Da Lat people "Gentle - Elegant - Hospitable" and arousing and spreading the pride of Da Lat - Lam Dong people; arousing the spirit of community responsibility of all levels, sectors, unions, localities, businesses and organizations, individuals inside and outside the province to actively participate and respond to enhance the brand and position of Da Lat city.
This year's Festival has 10 main programs, including: Opening Program of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; Art program welcoming the New Year 2025 combined with the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; Flower space; International workshop "Da Lat develops green tourism and cultural industry from diverse natural resources and local culture" ; Art program: Bao Loc, Huong Tra - Sac To city welcomes the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024; Exhibition, introduction and trade promotion of OCOP products of Da Lat Flower Festival 2024; Wine - Tea - Coffee Street and specialties of Da Lat - Lam Dong; Da Lat Vegetable - Flower Market, a miraculous crystallization from the good land; International cultural and artistic exchange of Da Lat - Chuncheon (Korea); Street Carnival of Flowers and Heritage (Flower car parade, flower fashion, street art).
Mr. Dang Quang Tu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City, informed that the province will not use the state budget to organize the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, because of the cooperation of the whole society. Therefore, the programs of this year's Da Lat Flower Festival will be registered by businesses, organizations, unions, and individuals; the products of the Festival will include both intangible and tangible products with long-term value. The work for the festival such as: Ensuring food safety for tourists, hotels, ensuring security and order, traffic safety, etc. has been carefully and promptly prepared by the province. The festival is expected to attract about 2 million visitors, including about 60,000 international visitors to Da Lat.
The flower space is also expanded to parks, landscapes, streets, residential areas, tourist areas in Da Lat city and surrounding areas with the active participation and support of businesses, organizations and households. In addition to the main programs, there are 12 response programs and many other new and attractive programs implemented by organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province.
The Opening Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024 will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8:00 p.m. on December 5, 2024 from Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City with a special art program. This is also an important highlight in the overall programs of this Flower Festival, promising to bring different and impressive feelings to the audience watching directly and indirectly.
The art program to welcome the new year 2025 combined with the Closing Ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024, at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat city, at 8:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024 will close the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival - 2024.
