On the morning of March 30, Khanh Hoa Province Agarwood Association held a ceremony to commemorate the founder of Khanh Hoa agarwood industry with the participation of businessmen, enterprises, scientists and local agarwood workers.
Mr. Bien Quoc Dung - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Agarwood Association - said this is an opportunity to honor the cultural heritage values and techniques of the traditional agarwood profession.
This is also an opportunity for generations of artisans to exchange and share experiences, contributing to preserving and promoting Khanh Hoa's agarwood craft.
Mr. Dung also said that this is also an opportunity to connect and kick off the first agarwood festival with the theme "Sacred Land of Agarwood" which will be held at the Nha Trang Sea Festival in early June.
"This festival not only aims to introduce and promote the province's most quintessential products in close connection with the agarwood heritage, but also to attract visitors and develop tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa" - Mr. Dung said.

Mr. Le Van Hoa - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that the agarwood festival at Nha Trang Sea Festival is also an opportunity to build a dossier on the intangible cultural heritage "Folk knowledge - traditional craft of Khanh Hoa agarwood" as a national intangible cultural heritage.
It is expected that the agarwood festival will take place with many activities such as agarwood offering ceremony, agarwood procession, agarwood processing demonstration, honoring agarwood artisans with many contributions...
Also at the agarwood industry's death anniversary, Khanh Hoa Agarwood Association coordinated with Khanh Hoa Provincial Museum to inaugurate "Khanh Hoa Agarwood Cultural Heritage Space" at the provincial museum, displaying products made from typical agarwood.
Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2025 will take place from April 10 to June 27 with 39 unique and novel activities such as the Cau Ngu Festival Grand Scene program, the "Sea Street Enters the Festival" carnival, the hot air balloon festival, the international culinary arts festival, the 2025 Sea Festival book street...
New highlight sports tournaments will also be held such as the Nha Trang Sup Championship, Vinpearl International Golf Championship, marathon, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa International Beach Soccer Tournament 2025...
The Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival is expected to attract more than 600,000 domestic and international visitors.
