The 220kV Hai Duong - Pho Noi transmission line project, once completed, will help relieve capacity for Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant, increase power supply to the power system, and contribute to ensuring national energy security.
On October 16, 2024, the leaders of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) inspected the progress and urged the construction of the 220kV Hai Duong - Pho Noi transmission line project through Hai Duong province.
The 220kV Hai Duong - Pho Noi transmission line project through Hai Duong province has 180 pole locations, a route length of nearly 54 km, passing through Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces.
The project has a scale of constructing a 220 kV line (4 circuits) from Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant connecting to the existing 220 kV double-circuit line of Pha Lai Thermal Power Plant - Hai Duong 2 220kV Substation, constructing a 220 kV double-circuit line from Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant to the existing 500/220 kV Pho Noi Substation, expanding 2 220 kV equipment compartments at Pho Noi 500kV Substation.
According to the report of the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB) - the unit assigned to manage and operate the project, up to now, the site clearance work has been handed over to the construction units for 180/180 locations (100%), the handed over locations are no longer entangled, and the corridor section of the route has also been handed over to the construction units for 82/82 anchorage spaces.
Regarding construction progress, the project has completed 178/180 pole positions, is constructing one position (position 72 and is expected to be completed by October 28), and has not yet started erecting poles at position 114.
Regarding the wire pulling progress, the project has completed 71/82 anchoring sections, is constructing one anchoring section and has not yet constructed 10 anchoring sections, in which the main focus is on the contractor VNECO as there are still 8/53 anchoring sections yet to be constructed. Currently, the contractor only arranges 1 construction team on the route.
At the construction site, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan - Deputy General Director of EVNNPT - assessed that the current construction progress of the project has not met the requirements, while according to the direction of Vietnam Electricity Group, the project must be completed in 2024 to meet the load demand from the hot season in 2025.
Mr. Tan requested NPMB to closely direct contractors to arrange adequate manpower, arrange unit leaders and site commanders to be present at the project's progress critical area regularly. Accordingly, contractor VNECO needs to concentrate the highest possible resources to organize the erection of the remaining pole positions and pull the 8 anchor lines to meet the progress target; contractor CICO needs to add a wire pulling team to complete the anchor lines without any problems.
EVNNPT Deputy General Director also requested contractors to make great efforts, in case of lack of human resources to erect wire poles, they must immediately report to EVNNPT so that EVNNPT is ready to mobilize support forces. At the same time, contractors need to calculate to ensure synchronization when pulling wires across 110kV and 35kV lines to minimize power outages of these lines.
