EVNNPC: Signboard of 110kV Yen Lac Substation, Vinh Phuc

Ms. Do Nguyet Anh - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of EVNNPC, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

The Yen Lac 110kV Substation project is directly managed by the Power Grid Project Management Board (BA1) as the investor's representative, with the following scope: Construction of a new 110kV double-circuit transmission line using ACSR400 wire with a length of 0.247km; and installation of two 110kV 63 MVA transformers.

The outdoor installation utilizes a complete bridge configuration, comprising two 110kV line bays connecting to the 220kV Vinh Tuong Substation and the 110kV Viet Tri Substation; one T1 transformer bay; one T2 transformer bay; and one 110kV sectional bay. The total investment for the project is VND 143.5 billion.

In October 2023, after handing over the site to the construction contractor, BA1 urgently coordinated and urged the contractor to quickly carry out construction items; install equipment and conduct calibration tests to ensure safety and continuity.

On June 20, 2024, the Northern Power Corporation's Acceptance Council successfully inspected and energized the Yen Lac 110kV Substation. The project ensures reliable and stable power supply to Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province, prevents overloading at the Hoi Hop 110kV substation in Vinh Tuong district, and effectively utilizes the AT1 220kV Vinh Tuong transformer installation project. It reduces power losses, improves the reliability of power supply to customers, and provides timely power to loads in Vinh Phuc province in general and Yen Lac district in particular during the hot season of 2024.

Representing the project management and implementation unit, the Director of BA1 happily stated: The project was completed just in time for EVNNPC to enthusiastically participate in the emulation movement on all fronts and in all fields to achieve outstanding results in celebration of the 55th anniversary of EVNNPC's establishment and the 70th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnamese Electricity industry.

Despite facing extremely challenging circumstances during implementation, the project fully complied with all legal regulations regarding investment and construction, was built according to design, ensured quality and absolute safety, and did not exceed the approved total project investment.

The Yen Lac 110kV Transmission Line and Substation project, now operational, plays a particularly important role in electricity supply in Vinh Phuc province; ensuring power quality, improving reliability in electricity supply to industrial clusters and zones; providing flexibility in power supply and convenience in management and operation, and serving as a basis for renovating, developing, and replanning the existing regional power grid system.

The project is included in the Vinh Phuc province's power development plan for the period 2016-2025 with consideration to 2035 - the 110kV power system development plan approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Decision 4922/QD-BCT dated December 29, 2017.
