The 1st "AI in Action" Competition

Vietnam Television, National Data Center (NDC), National Data Association (NDA) organized from August to January 2026.

This is the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) competition held on national television to discover and nurture technology talents, develop Vietnamese AI core technology, promote the AI ecosystem and contribute to realizing the goals of the National Digital Transformation Strategy. The total prize value of this competition is up to nearly 2 billion VND. The best teams also have the opportunity to participate in a professional startup incubation program after the competition.

The contest will take place on multiple platforms, from television to digital platforms and social networks. The contest is a concrete action, bringing the resolutions into life, with the goal of taking "people and businesses as the center, the subject, the main resource and driving force", while affirming the "leading and promoting" role of the State in creating the most favorable conditions for technology development.

This is also a strong response to the "Popular Digital Education" movement launched by the General Secretary, with the goal of popularizing digital knowledge and skills for all people, to "build a society that is not only rich in knowledge but also rich in technological power".

Contestants not only compete in technology skills but also directly solve problems from businesses and social reality, receive advice from the world's leading AI technology experts and have the opportunity to develop their products through international standard startup incubation programs to help products reach the world.

The "Practical AI" competition will include 4 main rounds: Warm-up and preliminary round (online); final round (skill challenge); semi-final round (practical solutions) and final round (Practical AI Gala).

It is expected that in January 2026, the 3 best teams will compete directly in the Final Gala night, which will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
