EURO 2024 qualifying is about to end but some of Europe's biggest national teams have yet to secure a place at the tournament in Germany.
Ahead of the final round of EURO 2024 qualifiers this November, many national teams such as Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Türkiye, Austria and England have officially secured tickets.
However, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Croatia are still trying very hard to hope to win tickets to Germany next year.
These teams are preparing for the final matches of the extremely important qualifying round in November. But if the results do not go as expected, some of the world's best players could be absent from EURO 2024.
Erling Haaland - Norway
Striker Erling Haaland has missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and is once again facing a miss at EURO 2024. The Norwegian has won numerous trophies after breaking many scoring records for Man City and helping The Citizens win a historic treble last season.
Haaland has continued his prolific form this season for Man City but he needs to be at his best to help Norway qualify for the EURO 2024 play-offs when they face Scotland away in their final qualifier on November 20.
Martin Odegaard - Norway
The Arsenal captain is in the same situation as Haaland, having missed the 2022 World Cup because Norway failed to qualify.
Odegaard has become one of the standout players in the Premier League since his move to the Emirates Stadium from Real Madrid.
Odegaard and Haaland will have to do their best to help Norway beat Scotland to hold off Georgia, who are three points behind them in Group A but have played one game less.
Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma - Italy
Italy, like Norway, will not be able to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar despite winning Euro 2021.
Donnarumma is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world, having started for AC Milan and PSG at just 24 years old.
The goalkeeper was Italy's hero at EURO 2020, helping his team win the tournament by beating England in a penalty shootout in the final at Wembley.
Luka Modric - Croatia
Modric has been a regular at international tournaments throughout his illustrious career. However, the Real Madrid star is in danger of missing out on EURO 2024 with his side currently trailing Wales in Group D.
Modric hopes to play in another major international tournament like EURO 2024 after helping Croatia finish third at the 2022 World Cup.
Alexander Isak - Sweden
Alexander Isak has become one of the Premier League's most prolific strikers since moving to Newcastle from Real Sociedad.
However, the Swedish international and his teammates will have to fight in the play-off round to qualify for the tournament.
But first, to reach the play-offs, Sweden need to win against Azerbaijan and Estonia this November.
Robert Lewandowski - Poland
Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in Europe, having played for teams like Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and now Barcelona.
However, the striker has never really been at his best in an international tournament.
As his playing career draws to a close, Lewandowski is keen to make one last push to win a major trophy for his country.
