Duy Xuyen rewards 31 teachers with outstanding achievements in training excellent students

(QNO) - This afternoon, August 4, the Department of Education and Training of Duy Xuyen district held a conference to commend and reward teachers with outstanding achievements in training excellent students in the 2022-2023 school year.

Mr. Truong Duc Tan - Deputy Head of Duy Xuyen Department of Education and Training said that the 2022 - 2023 school year is the third year that theeducation sector continues to innovate the general education program, focusing on nurturing excellent students and improving the quality of human resources.

In addition, the entire district invested more than 23 billion VND to build and upgrade classrooms, multi-purpose buildings, and auxiliary items such as fences, gates, toilets, etc. Repairing and purchasing teaching equipment such as computers, desks and chairs with a budget of 8.6 billion VND. Thereby, creating conditions for teachers to promote their capacity, constantly improving the quality of teaching, especially in the work of nurturing excellent students.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Duy Xuyen district has 90 students participating in the provincial-level 9th grade excellent student exam. Of these, 64 students won prizes (accounting for 71.1%), exceeding the rate of students winning prizes by 21.1% compared to the average of the whole province. Of the 64 students winning prizes, there was 1 first prize, 14 second prizes, 23 third prizes, and 26 consolation prizes.

On this occasion, Duy Xuyen District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 31 teachers with outstanding achievements in training excellent students in the 2022-2023 school year.
