Tonight (April 14), at Da Lat station, Vietnam Railways Corporation launched a night train route from Da Lat to Trai Mat called "Da Lat Night Journey".

Accordingly, in addition to the regular train pairs during the day, this route will also run 2 more train pairs DL11/DL12 and DL13/DL14 (departing from 18:15 to 21:20 daily) with ticket prices ranging from 72,000 VND to 100,000 VND for a round trip. When passengers buy round-trip tickets, they will receive a 25% discount on the ticket price, passengers buying group tickets of 10 or more will receive a 15% to 40% discount on the ticket price.
Mr. Dao Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, said that "Da Lat Night Journey" is a tourism product that the railway industry has put into operation to continue to bring passengers new experiences, feel the beauty of Da Lat at night, contributing to diversifying services and developing local tourism.
The difference on "Da Lat Night Journey" is that in addition to enjoying music, artichoke tea and using free wifi like other ancient Da Lat trains, visitors can also enjoy a dinner party upon request (not included in the ticket price).
With a round trip train journey of about an hour and a slow train speed of only 15km/h, if during the day, visitors can comfortably relax and admire the poetic beauty of Da Lat, at night, the beauty of Da Lat is extremely magical and different. So that visitors can check-in even when running at night, along with the increased use of the lighting system at the station, the train cars have been decorated with LED lights.
Before boarding the train, visitors can freely visit and check-in at Da Lat station - a unique ancient architectural work inspired by the legendary Langbiang mountain and the traditional Central Highlands communal house roof, or check-in at the ancient train cars in Indochina style.
Passengers were excited to film and take photos to check in the music performance atmosphere and enjoy the buffet party on the Da Lat night train.
On the opening day tonight, the railway also officially opened a screening room for a documentary about the history of Da Lat station and the Thap Cham - Da Lat cog railway.
At the same time, organize a mini show of Trinh Cong Son's music night with the theme "Thanh am Moc and Da Lat"; organize a performance of the ao dai collection called Legend of Da Lat and Da Lat four seasons of flowers by designer Do Nguyen.
According to railway history, the Da Lat - Trai Mat line is 6.7km long, the remaining part of the Thap Cham - Da Lat line, 84km long, built by the French, connecting Ninh Thuan with Lam Dong, put into operation in 1932. This is the only unique cog railway line in Vietnam serving tourists visiting Da Lat city.
