In order to meet the high travel demand during the National Day holiday on September 2, the Vietnam Railway industry has reduced ticket prices and increased the number of passenger trains on all routes.
On the evening of August 6, Vietnam Railways Corporation announced that the railway industry will reduce ticket prices and increase passenger trains on routes to meet the increased travel demand of passengers during the National Day holiday on September 2.

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, on the North-South railway line, train pairs such as SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE11/SE12 (Ho Chi Minh City - Hanoi route), SE21/SE22 (Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang), SNT1/SNT2 (Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang), SPT1/SPT2 (Ho Chi Minh City - Phan Thiet), SE19/SE20 (Hanoi - Da Nang), HD1/HD2, HD3/HD4 (Hue - Da Nang), NA1/NA2 (Hanoi - Vinh) run regularly every day.
In addition, the organization runs more trains from Saigon station to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon stations and vice versa, from Nha Trang to Da Nang and vice versa, from Hanoi to Quang Binh and vice versa.
Specifically, on the Ho Chi Minh City - Quy Nhon route, there will be an additional SE30 train from Saigon station to Quy Nhon from August 29 to September 2; and SE29 train from Quy Nhon to Saigon station from August 30 to September 3.
Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route, from Saigon station to Nha Trang, train SNT4 will run on August 29 and 30; train SNT8 on August 30. From Nha Trang to Saigon station, train SNT5 will run on September 2 and 3.
Nha Trang - Da Nang route, add SE42 train from Nha Trang to Da Nang on August 30 and September 1; SE41 train from Da Nang to Nha Trang on August 31 and September 2.
Hanoi - Dong Hoi route, additional trains QB1 and SE17 departing from Hanoi station on August 30; QB2 departing from Dong Hoi station on September 2 and 3.
Northern region, Hanoi - Lao Cai route, additional train SP7 departs from Hanoi on August 30; train SP8 departs from Lao Cai station on August 31.
On the Hanoi - Hai Phong route, additional trains LP9 and HP3 will be run from Hanoi station; additional trains LP10 and HP4 will be run from Hanoi station and HD2 will be run from Hai Duong station.
Also according to Vietnam Railways Corporation, during the September 2 holiday, the railway still applies the regular ticket discount policy for social policy beneficiaries such as: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, people with disabilities, the elderly, children, students, union members, and passengers with customer cards.
In particular, when purchasing round-trip tickets, passengers will receive a 5% discount on return tickets for individuals and a 7% discount on return tickets for groups of 20 people or more.
