(Dan Tri) - The North-South railway through Da Nang has officially opened after many hours of congestion due to the railway industry rescuing a freight train that derailed while passing Hai Van Pass.
On the afternoon of November 2, rescue forces at the scene of the derailment of freight train ASY2 on Hai Van Pass (Da Nang area) confirmed that the railway line through the pass was cleared at around 12 noon the same day.
Rescuers also cleared three cargo containers that had tilted and fallen off the rails.
The first train to pass through the area after the incident was train SE3.

Previously, the railway industry mobilized forces and vehicles to rescue the ASY2 freight train that derailed, paralyzing the North-South railway line.
Train ASY2 had an accident at 9:10 p.m. on November 1, while entering Line 1 of Hai Van Nam Station (Da Nang). Three cars of a freight train derailed.

At the time of the incident, passenger train SE7 was entering the Hai Van railway area in the North-South direction, but due to the derailment of train ASY2, it could not continue. Passengers were arranged to board a shuttle bus to Da Nang station to continue their journey.
The railway management unit, the railway traffic police force, and the railway safety management mobilized vehicles and human resources to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
