(PLVN) - The Danang Christmas - New Year Festival 2025 officially opened at the Northern landscape floor, East bank of Dragon Bridge on the evening of December 20 with many new and attractive cultural, artistic, tourism, and entertainment activities serving people and tourists at the end of the year.

After the brilliant opening of the Christmas Tree lighting program, the 2025 Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival officially opened with a special variety show by professional international artists from Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area and a skillful dance performance by children to vibrant music.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that 2024 is coming to an end with proud achievements of the Da Nang tourism industry and many large-scale events organized. In order to continue diversifying tourism products and enhancing the experiences of people and tourists during the year-end holiday season, Da Nang city is organizing the Christmas Festival - New Year Festival Da Nang 2025 for the first time.

“This year’s festival will take place over 20 days with a series of rich cultural, artistic, tourism and entertainment activities on both sides of the Han River and the Dragon Bridge area. Hopefully, this event will become an annual meeting point, not only connecting the cultural life of Da Nang people with domestic and foreign friends, but also contributing to affirming Da Nang’s position as an attractive destination at the end of each year,” said Ms. An.

The highlight is the Merry Christmas Parade taking place at 8:00 p.m. the same day on Bach Dang Walking Street with the participation of more than 600 professional and semi-professional dancers dressed as Santa Claus, the Snow Queen and impressively decorated reindeer sleigh models.

Starting from the Binh Minh 7 – Bach Dang intersection, Santa Claus will parade on Bach Dang walking street and dance to vibrant Christmas music at each stop (Binh Minh 6 – Bach Dang intersection, Binh Minh 4 – Bach Dang, APEC Park, 2025 letter model).

At the Christmas Tree - the final point of the parade, professional and semi-professional dancers will perform and animate with locals and tourists to create a jubilant and exciting Christmas atmosphere.

Participating in the parade are Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy and an international artist group from Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area who will interact and connect with locals and tourists.
