Affirming the ideology of solidarity and international cooperation

Reading the series of articles Under the shade of Tan Trao banyan trees, Director Vuong Duy Bien, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations commented: The series of articles has helped readers better understand this historical event on the historic land of Tan Trao. President Ho Chi Minh once said, the policy of attacking people's hearts, conquering with morality, transforming with humanity, convincing people's hearts to multiply the power of justice. The diplomatic front of our Party and State is a long-term, persistent front and always wins thanks to ingenuity and flexibility. President Ho Chi Minh, through stories with American friends, showed us his talent for cultural diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy from a very early age. We need to promote to contribute to consolidating the political foundation, creating and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, mobilizing external resources to develop the country, enhancing Vietnam's prestige and international position, ensuring the highest national interests.

Writer, cultural and historical researcher Nguyen Van Mach (pen name Phu Ninh) affirmed: I have researched and published many books about Tan Trao such as: "Tan Trao dawns Independence Day", "Tan Trao year At Dau", "Returning to Tan Trao", "Uncle Ho's trip abroad in Tan Trao"... Ho Chi Minh is the one who laid the foundation for the Vietnam - US relationship. With his skillful diplomacy , kindness, tolerance and deep love for people, he left deep feelings with American friends (OSS). Through that, they understood more about the country and people of Vietnam - a friendly, peace-loving Vietnam that wants to be friends with countries around the world. We believe that the current and future cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the United States will be oriented towards common interests, for progress, peace, and security in the region and around the world, in line with the hope and trust that President Ho Chi Minh placed in the United States of America in the first half of the 20th century.

Mr. Nguyen Phi Khanh, Head of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association in Tuyen Quang province, said: After reading the series of articles, I found that the article has exploited many historical documents, interviewed relevant figures, analyzed and elaborated on the series of events. From there, it helps readers clearly visualize the historical context and circumstances, and have new and useful information about the Vietnam - US relationship on Tan Trao land. In 2023, reporter Quang Hoa and I, reporter of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, had the opportunity to go with Master of Linguistics, Master of American Studies Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, currently teaching Vietnamese at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA, to visit and learn about the Dong Minh hut in the Tan Trao Special National Monument. Through the trip, Master of American Studies Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong had more photos and information about the Con Nai intelligence group of the OSS - United States in Tan Trao in 1945. In particular, the Con Nai intelligence group gave President Ho Chi Minh the 1776 Declaration of Independence of the United States, which was the basis for President Ho Chi Minh to write the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, on September 2, 1945.

Wishing for peace, stability and development

Sharing the same view with the researchers, after reading the series of articles and understanding more about this historical event in their homeland, many people of Tan Trao - Tuyen Quang expressed their wish that the Vietnam - US relationship will be increasingly strengthened, contributing to maintaining peace, stability and development of the country.

Comrade Ma Van Hoc, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Co village, Minh Thanh commune (Son Duong) said: Since ancient times, the elderly in the village have told the story of Uncle Ho choosing this place as an airport to welcome American allied aircraft to help Vietnam fight against Japanese fascists in 1945. Through the article, we hope that more people will know about Co village. We are very excited that the US has sponsored and helped Tuyen Quang province in the fields of education and agriculture. We hope that the two sides will continue to expand cooperation to further strengthen the friendship. As someone who has met Uncle Ho, Mr. Hoang Ngoc, Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune (Son Duong) emotionally said: I am always proud to witness many important historical events of the country taking place in Tan Trao. Through this event, I feel more responsible, which is to arouse pride in my homeland, remind my descendants about the history of the nation, and preserve the traditions of the revolutionary homeland.

Ms. Quan Thi Dao, whose child is studying in the kindergarten class at Na Pong village school, Tan My commune (Chiem Hoa), hopes that the US will have more investment cooperation projects in Tuyen Quang province. Because Tan My commune is an ethnic minority area, economic conditions are still difficult. Since the kindergarten class at Na Pong village school, invested in and built by the US government, was put into use with full teaching and learning equipment, many neighboring villages, including Trung Son village where she lives, have sent their children here to study. Through a series of articles written by Tuyen Quang Newspaper about the Vietnam - US relationship, she and the people understand more about the significance of this project and hope that the Vietnam - US relationship will continue to develop.

As a history teacher, Ms. Trinh Thanh Nhan, a teacher at Nguyen Van Huyen High School (Tuyen Quang City), commented: I think the valuable documents about the Vietnam - US relationship that Tuyen Quang Newspaper has just published will have a great influence; helping students understand the value of historical events of the nation, from which they will be proud of the tradition of the nation, have a sense of responsibility for the future and future of the country. Student Nguyen Van Nam, a student of the Faculty of Literature Pedagogy, Tan Trao University, expressed: Through the series of articles, I understand more clearly the value of peace. Nowadays, many young people are living, studying and working, acquiring knowledge and modern scientific and technological achievements in the United States, which is to preserve the peaceful and stable environment that countries bring. We hope that the Vietnam - US cooperative relationship will continue to develop so that many young people have the opportunity to study in the United States, accumulating knowledge about building their homeland and country.

Nearly 30 years since Vietnam and the United States officially established diplomatic relations, the relationship between Vietnam and the United States has achieved comprehensive and substantive development, increasingly deepening, positively contributing to security, peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, affirming Vietnam's prestige and position in the international arena. This is also the desire of the people of the two countries and the efforts of President Ho Chi Minh when he laid the foundation for diplomatic relations with the United States in 1945 on the historic land of Tan Trao.
