Stop enrolling students for grades 6 and 10 at Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School

The suspension of enrollment for grades 6 and 10 at Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School for the 2023-2024 school year is based on Article 9, Circular No. 04/2023/TT-BGDDT dated March 23, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training on promulgating regulations on organization and operation of ethnic boarding schools.

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued a document directing the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh to stop enrolling students in grades 6 and 10 of Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School (located in Huong Khe district) from the 2023-2024 school year. The remaining grades (including grades 7, 8 and 9) continue to organize teaching and learning, and educational activities in accordance with current regulations.

In the 2023 - 2024 school year, Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School stopped enrolling students for grades 6 and 10.

Also according to the document of the Provincial People's Committee, from the 2023 - 2024 school year, ethnic minority students who are eligible to be admitted to boarding secondary and high schools for ethnic minorities according to Article 9 - Circular No. 04/2023/TT-BGDDT will be admitted to grade 6 at secondary schools in the area; grade 9 students studying at Ha Tinh boarding secondary and high schools for ethnic minorities will be admitted directly to public high schools (except Ha Tinh Specialized High School).

The above admission is based on Article 7 of Consolidated Document No. 03/VBHN-BGDĐT dated May 3, 2019 of the Ministry of Education and Training promulgating the circular on admission regulations for junior high school and high school.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training requested Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School to review the students enrolled in the school. The survey results showed that 9 students were qualified to enter grade 6 and 6 students to enter grade 10. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh reported and advised the Provincial People's Committee to stop enrolling students in grade 6 and grade 10 of Ha Tinh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School for the 2023-2024 school year.
