Amidst the fierce battles of war, Mr. Nao's father and two older brothers were killed. Following in his family's revolutionary tradition, at the age of 16, he left his hometown and joined the armed forces in response to the sacred call of the Fatherland. During this time, he participated in combat, fighting in many ambush battles in Tan Lap commune, Moc Hoa district.

Those battles were not just intense gunfights, but also long days of marching through the jungle, facing hunger, thirst, and disease. Enemy bombs and bullets not only sowed death but also left wounds in the heart that could never heal.

“Once, my comrades and I led our troops into the enemy's stronghold and fell right into an ambush. At that moment, the enemy attacked relentlessly, bullets rained down, I witnessed my close friend die right before my eyes, and I myself narrowly escaped death,” Mr. Nao recalled the fierce battle.

By applying the integrated farming model, Mr. Le Van Nao's family (Tan Ninh commune, Tan Thanh district) earns an income of 15-20 million VND per month.

But those near-death experiences also fueled his determination to hold his weapon steady, to live and fight in a way that was worthy of his comrades who fell on the battlefield. After the country was reunified, he continued working in the police force and held important positions. Thanks to his contributions to the nation, Mr. Nao was awarded many prestigious medals and commendations, most notably the Glorious Soldier Medal (Second and Third Class), the 50-Year Party Membership Badge, etc.

In 1985, Mr. Le Van Nao returned to his hometown and continued to expand his agricultural production, developing a model that included rice cultivation, jackfruit farming, catfish farming, and frog farming. Specifically, his frog farming model currently covers a total area of 3,000 square meters with over 300,000 frogs in its enclosures. His and his wife's income remains stable, fluctuating around 15-20 million VND per month.

Not only is Mr. Nao a successful businessman , but he also actively participates in social work, mobilizing people to donate land for road construction. To set an example, his family pioneered the donation of 500 square meters of land, supporting the local community in opening a 3-kilometer inter-hamlet road. Due to his many contributions to local development and his frequent sharing of his successful farming and business experiences, Mr. Nao has held various roles over the years, such as hamlet head and hamlet Party branch secretary. With his simple, friendly lifestyle and actions that always match his words, he has become an exemplary role model, embodying the motto "Party members lead the way, the people follow."

His family now has four successful sons who live harmoniously with their neighbors. Sharing his approach to raising his children and grandchildren, veteran Le Van Nao said: "I always use revolutionary traditions as a guiding principle in educating my children and grandchildren, teaching them to strictly abide by the law and regularly help the underprivileged."

Throughout their lives, he and his wife have always understood each other, gently sharing and understanding each other better. That is also why, for many years, Mr. Nao's family has been recognized as an exemplary cultural family at the commune and district levels.

Even in his twilight years, Mr. Le Van Nao continues to work diligently and contribute to his homeland. His life is a beautiful story of courage, compassion, and a sense of responsibility. These noble values are not only passed down to his descendants but also spread throughout the community, contributing to the building of a civilized and compassionate society.
