(GLO)- On the morning of May 19, the Liaison Committee of the Truong Son- Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Association in Duc Co district (Gia Lai province) held a discussion to celebrate the 64th anniversary of the founding of Group 559 - Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail Troops (May 19, 1959 - May 19, 2023).

At the conference, delegates reviewed the traditional history of Group 559 with its heroic and glorious history in the struggle against the US to save the country. In Duc Co district, the Truong Son-Ho Chi Minh Trail Traditional Liaison Committee was established in 2011 with 41 members. These are people who directly fought and served in combat on the legendary Truong Son route.

Since its inception, the Truong Son Traditional Liaison Committee of Duc Co district has actively participated in the local patriotic emulation movement, making an important contribution to political and economic stability and building the locality to develop more and more.

Although most members are old and weak, they still uphold the tradition of “Splitting Truong Son to save the country”, being resilient and indomitable, continuing to participate in labor, production, family economic development and homeland construction. Every year, the Liaison Committee organizes activities to visit and give gifts to members in difficult circumstances and organizes traditional talks at schools in the area.

On this occasion, the Liaison Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Trail Truong Son Traditional Association in Duc Co district presented 2 gifts to members in difficult circumstances.
