The whole schoolyard burst into cheers when Phan Thai Xuan Nghi, a student from Tran Phu High School, asked whether the US's imposition of a 46% tax would affect industries, including the logistics industry in Vietnam. Dr. Le Trung Dao, Vice Principal of the University of Finance and Marketing, said that the main concern of the current US administration is the large imbalance in the trade balance between the US and other countries. The imposition of a 46% tax on Vietnam will certainly create challenges and reduce its competitive advantage compared to other countries. He said that the Vietnamese government is actively and proactively implementing measures to adapt to this issue, so students need to stay calm.

Sharing with a student of Nguyen Thuong Hien High School about the possibility of artificial intelligence replacing humans, including in the mechanical field, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Thang, Head of Training Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, said: Overall, in any period, mechanical engineering has its own position in socio-economic development. Will AI replace mechanical engineering? The answer is definitely no. You must understand that in this period, it is mandatory to know how to use AI to support work, those who do not know how to use AI will fall behind.

Regarding students' questions about majors related to Industry 4.0, Dr. Tran Thanh Thuong, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, said that the school trains in many majors and fields, in which the engineering and technology sector is the school's strength. Recently, in the network planning, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education is one of the 5 key training institutions in engineering and technology in the country.

In-depth consulting for each major

Psychology is also a major that many students are interested in and ask questions to the advisory board. Answering questions about the differences in training in this major at schools, Dr. Phan Thi Cam Giang, a psychological consultant, Head of the Psychology Department - Saigon International University, said that psychology has a common principle, if anything, it is different in the orientation of the major such as school psychological counseling, working at hospitals, at non-governmental organizations... depending on the training institution, students are oriented into different majors.

Marketing is also a major that many students are interested in and have raised many questions with the advisory board. Dr. Le Xuan Truong, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that marketing is a major with high competition in both input and job opportunities. Therefore, the school pays special attention to equipping students with knowledge and skills so that they can compete well for job opportunities after graduation.

MSc. Nguyen Kieu Oanh, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information Technology - Saigon University of Technology, said that in 2025, the school will have specialized training in marketing. Studying this major, students can work in many positions such as: Market research specialist, customer care, advertising, public relations, brand development and management at businesses; marketing strategy research officer, marketing planning manager, customer relations activities organizer at companies specializing in communications, event organization, advertising...

Regarding students' questions about the Chinese language major, Master Chung Quoc Phong, Head of Admissions Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, said that Chinese language is one of the four language majors currently being trained by the school. With the Chinese language major, for example, students who have a foundation in HSK5 certificate have an advantage when entering majors such as business Chinese or tourism Chinese.

Sharing details about the international business major, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of Admissions and Communications Department - Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this major developed from the foundation of the international economics major. In 2025, the school plans to enroll students in both international economics and international business majors with 4 diverse training programs: Standard program, partial English program, full English program and international joint program.

Another major that is of interest is public relations. According to Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department - Nguyen Tat Thanh University, the school trains this major with 4 admission methods, including considering academic records, and open job opportunities.

Students are also concerned about choosing two programs at the same time: Law and English. Master Vu Dinh Le, Deputy Head of the Admissions Consulting Department - Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, explained: "Candidates can only be admitted to one major, so it is best to choose the major they like, then study the second program with the condition that after the first year of study, depending on their learning ability, students can transfer to another major. Students will complete and graduate from the English major first, then continue to study to receive a bachelor's degree in law."

Answering the question of whether to choose to study at the college level, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mong Lanh, Director of the Admissions Center of Saigon Polytechnic College, said that the college program helps students significantly shorten their training time (about 2.5 years) and optimize their study costs. In particular, after graduation, students can completely work and study at the same time to get a university degree.

Choosing the right career is a smart investment.

At the program, Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that choosing a career and school is not only a personal decision but also an investment in each student's future. Therefore, it is necessary to equip students with adequate knowledge, creating conditions for them to confidently make decisions and make the right choices. "The Lao Dong Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized the program "Bringing schools to candidates" in 2025 to orient their careers, helping students make choices that are suitable for themselves in the future. The program has supported and equipped students with a lot of useful information to create motivation and confidence to enter the 2025 entrance exam with many new learning opportunities" - Ms. Trang affirmed.
