According to a VNA reporter in Tel Aviv, on March 24, agricultural technology company Zemach, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel, held a seminar to introduce investment opportunities and invite Israeli businesses to bring agricultural technology (agritech) to the Vietnamese market.

At the seminar, Israeli businesses and cooperative associations (kibbutz) introduced types and advantages of agricultural technology that can be applied in Vietnam, including remote sensing technology, imaging, sensors, automation, drones and data analysis models.

Notably, Zemach company representatives introduced crop support technologies such as monitoring soil quality, humidity, nutritional needs, pests and diseases, and automated management processes.

Meanwhile, representatives of AgreTech company introduced solutions for sustainable agricultural development, using renewable energy and being environmentally friendly.

A representative of the Kinneret Innovation Center said that from a country with a very low starting point in agriculture, Israel has achieved success thanks to four main factors: focusing on cooperation between farms and agricultural businesses, building a common vision for the country/region, supporting innovation and employing talent.

Thanks to that, from a place where 60% of its area was desert and there was no water source to exploit, Israel has now become self-sufficient in food and exported fresh water (thanks to seawater desalination technology and the reuse of 86% of domestic wastewater).

Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung introduced the development, scale and potential of Vietnamese agriculture, including many agricultural products that need a "boost" in agricultural technology to improve the quality and value of goods.

Ambassador Ly Duc Trung hopes that Israeli businesses will not only see Vietnam as a market to sell technology products and services, but also look at the potential for cooperation for mutual development.

According to him, Israeli agricultural technology enterprises can help Vietnam increase productivity and quality of agricultural products exported to many other markets, thereby sharing profits.

After the seminar, delegates visited the plant breeding laboratory of GinoSar Company, a company that recently signed a cooperation agreement to transfer high-quality fruit tree breeding technology to partners in Vietnam./.
