This MV left the crew with many emotions and impressions. Reporters from the Provincial Media Center recorded the sharing of Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam, Production Director of the MV "Victory - Bond in Vietnam".
- How do you evaluate the potential of Ha Long Bay when included in works of art?
+ Ha Long Bay possesses unimaginable beauty and the title of World Natural Heritage is the clearest proof of that. When we chose Ha Long Bay for the scenes in the MV, the beauty of Ha Long Bay is the guarantee for the core values, for the artistic footage to be born. In the MV "Victory - Bond in Vietnam", familiar images of Ha Long Bay, such as: Dawn on the sea, the life of fishermen in fishing villages or special natural wonders of Ha Long Bay such as Trong Mai islet, Oan sandbank and especially the mysterious eye on Ha Long Bay - Mat Rong Island... appear vividly with the melodious melodies of Bond. A beautiful picture of Ha Long Bay - a natural wonder of the world has been painted with emotion through the language of music and images. We aim to spread the image of the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay even more to domestic and foreign tourists, especially music lovers around the world, when appearing in the MV "Victory - Bond in Vietnam". |
- The MV "Victory - Bond in Vietnam" is part of the international music project "Good Morning Vietnam". Previously, Nhan Dan Newspaper cooperated with IB Group to invite saxophone legend Kenny G to Vietnam to perform and produce the MV Kenny G "Going Home" to promote the image of tourism in the capital Hanoi, which caused a huge buzz. After the success of the first season of Kenny G's MV, when filming the Bond band in Ha Long Bay, did you and the crew feel any pressure?
+ The success of the first season of Kenny G's MV put a lot of pressure on the entire crew. Unlike the Kenny G MV "Going Home" filmed in Hanoi, the MV "Victory - Bond in Vietnam" was filmed on the sea, on offshore islands, which probably left many unforgettable memories for the crew as they had to ensure the safety of international artists and find beautiful angles for the MV.
The Bond MV is 3 minutes long but we spent a lot of time beforehand, planning for a whole year to find a suitable location, while the Bond band only had one day to shoot. To develop the MV, the crew went out to survey more than 10 times to find a setting that met the criteria. However, Typhoon Yagi blew away all the settings, so in the short time left, the whole crew had to race against time, change the script to keep up with the production schedule, to bring the soul of music into the heritage, so that the heritage creates sublimation in music.
Despite the heavy damage caused by Typhoon Yagi, one thing I am sure of is that this place truly has an everlasting beauty that Typhoon Yagi or anything else cannot destroy. In particular, human preservation is the decisive factor and Quang Ninh province as well as the Ha Long Bay Management Board have done a great job of preserving this rare beauty intact.
- Can you share more about how the legendary girl group felt when filming in Ha Long Bay?
+ They performed with great passion and the beauty of Ha Long Bay was like a stage in heaven, where they were free to create art. The band members affirmed: Performing on Ha Long Bay was the most emotional performance, arousing the climax of artistic inspiration.
- Can you share about the process of making the MV in Ha Long Bay, is there any memory that you and the film crew cannot forget?
+ The whole process was truly memorable, although full of hardships, the whole crew was very excited, forgetting all fatigue. Because we only had one day to move between 4 filming locations, we carefully calculated the time to ensure the best filming and the best tide level. The scene on Dragon Eye Island, the tide receded very quickly, making it easy to expose the stage floor. We had to calculate to film very quickly so that the water level was just enough at the ankles to capture the image of the Bond girls as fairies standing in the middle of nature.
In particular, in the final scene of the sunset on the sandbank, when the tide was low, the crew had to use a basket boat to take the band members to the ship. It was a hard day of filming, but the whole crew was very excited, forgetting their fatigue. We were also surprised by the excitement of the Bond group. The Bond quartet expressed their love for Vietnamese cuisine and were very impressed with the beauty of the World Heritage site of Ha Long Bay. The achievement today is the determination of the collective leadership of Nhan Dan Newspaper, IB Group and the production crew, as well as the 4 artists.
- The difficulties make the MV more valuable and precious. In the future, will the unit have any more products about Ha Long Bay, sir?
+ Objective difficulties during the filming process are unavoidable. However, I received enthusiastic support from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and the Ha Long Bay Management Board, which created favorable conditions for the crew to complete the project. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Quang Ninh provincial authorities, departments, agencies and units that contributed to the success of the MV.
In the era of strong cultural industry development, bringing Ha Long Bay into cultural products is a very effective way to spread. We have many projects using the image of Ha Long Bay but in a new and different direction. It can be performing arts or using majestic natural settings to put into works of art. All are aimed at the common goal of spreading the image of Ha Long Bay in particular and the country and people of Vietnam to many international friends. Thereby, to contribute a small part to make culture truly become an endogenous strength, attracting external resources, especially knowledge, technology and investment for socio-economic development.
Thank you!
