On August 8, in Hanoi, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Zhejiang Province (China) organized a program to promote cultural tourism exchange between Zhejiang - China and Vietnam with the theme "Enjoying poetry and paintings".

In China, Zhejiang province with Hangzhou city has long been a familiar destination for Vietnamese tourists, on the Beijing - Shanghai - Hangzhou - Suzhou tourist route. The 19th Asian Games (ASIAD) in September - October this year will be a great opportunity for Zhejiang to attract tourists, including Vietnamese tourists. The program introduces the unique cultural features of Zhejiang, the Asian Games and an overview of the typical tourism resources of Zhejiang (China).
With the theme "Enjoying poetry and paintings", the program has partly recreated a colorful cultural Zhejiang such as the art of tea drinking, listening to the ancient artistic sound of the zither...
According to Ms. Trinh Ni, Head of Educational Technology Department, Department of Culture and Tourism of Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang and Vietnam have had a close and harmonious relationship since ancient times, from the art of tea ceremony to calligraphy, from the art of painting to chess, the two sides constantly learn from each other.
In the coming time, the 19th ASIAD and the 4th Asian Paralympic Games taking place in Hangzhou, Zhejiang will be an opportunity for Vietnamese people to come to Zhejiang province to enjoy the beautiful scenery, enjoy delicious cuisine and watch sporting events, fully experiencing the beautiful scenery, modern style, innovative power and hospitality of Zhejiang.
At the event, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Zhejiang Province introduced three new tours of the province. These are: Discovering the ancient capital of a thousand years, awakening memories of Zhejiang; Poetry reading tour on the banks of three rivers, tourism in response to the Asian Games; and Zhejiang Poetry and Painting Tour, tourism to support the Asian Games.
The tour to explore the ancient capital of a thousand years, awakening memories of Zhejiang, takes visitors to visit the Liangzhu National Archaeological Park in Hangzhou, the Olympic Center Gymnasium and the Olympic Sports Center Tennis Hall, the West Lake Scenic Area (Hangzhou), the Deqing Sports Center (Huzhou) and Anchang Ancient Town, the Prince Wine Museum of Shaoxing, the climbing competition venue of the Asian Games, the Shaoxing Olympic Sports Center, the Zhejiang Ocean Sports Center (Shaoxing), the Night Scene in Ningbo; Visit the ancestral home of Huang Daxian...

Sharing on the sidelines of the event, Mr. Nguyen Quy Phuong - Head of the Department of Tourism Promotion Management, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism emphasized that China has always been a key market for Vietnam's tourism industry. After the first 7 months of 2023, Vietnam welcomed over 737,000 Chinese visitors, and China is still the leading market. At the same time, China is also a destination chosen by many Vietnamese visitors.
"These are positive signals, requiring the attention of management agencies and businesses on both sides to continue promoting tourism and enhancing air connectivity between Zhejiang and major tourist centers in Vietnam such as Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City," Mr. Phuong affirmed.
