Accordingly, following the success of the National Scientific Conference "Activities of Buddhists with the sustainable development of the country" held at Khai Nguyen Pagoda in 2019. The National Scientific Conference "Buddhism with ensuring social security for people in the period of development and international integration" in 2020 in Lao Cai city.

In 2024, the Central Buddhist Guidance Committee will continue to organize the fourth National Scientific Conference with the theme "Promoting the tradition of "serving the religion, loving the country, protecting the nation and protecting the people" of Buddhism in the Ly and Tran dynasties in building a developed, prosperous and powerful Vietnam" in the capital Hanoi - the capital of a thousand years of culture, containing many vestiges of Buddhism in the Ly and Tran dynasties.

The national scientific conference organized by the Buddhist Guidance Committee has become an annual scientific activity attracting a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and people, especially the attention and participation of experts and scientists at home and abroad, with more than 1,000 people attending.

Speaking at the workshop, Most Venerable Dr. Thich Thanh Dien, Vice President of the Central Executive Council - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha said: Over the history of more than 2000 years of introduction, companionship and development, Vietnamese Buddhism has made great contributions to the cause of building and defending the country. Especially during the Ly Dynasty (1010 - 1225) and Tran Dynasty (1225 - 1400), this was considered the period of the most prosperous development of Vietnamese Buddhism. Buddhism developed strongly in social life, bringing joy and happiness to all people, demonstrating the spirit of connection and harmony between Religion and Life, Dharma and nation of Vietnamese Buddhism, at the same time demonstrating the tradition of "serving the Religion, loving the Country, protecting the Nation and bringing peace to the People" throughout the process of propagating Buddhism.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Van Sau - Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Hanoi University of Culture, we need to invest in research to plan and promote investment in developing spiritual tourism destinations, thereby preserving history and exploiting historical values ​​and traditions of protecting the country and its people.

"From ancient times until now, spiritual tourism destinations are places with wonderful landscapes, they are sacred places, places where generations of people place their faith, places to relieve stress in modern society and places to connect the past and present" - Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Van Sau said.

The Head of the Faculty of Tourism, Hanoi University of Culture also added that in order to develop spiritual tourism, destinations must preserve the landscape and environment; National cultural identity, national soul; and develop modern science and technology. When the above three things are done well, cultural destinations will develop.

Accordingly, the National Scientific Conference "Promoting the tradition of "serving religion, loving the country, protecting the nation and bringing peace to the people" of Buddhism in the Ly and Tran dynasties in building a developed, prosperous and strong Vietnam", aims at 3 goals such as synthesizing the knowledge of Venerable Monks, Venerable Monks, Venerable Monks, Nuns and Buddhist followers; leaders and managers in various fields, especially managers in the field of religion and beliefs; domestic and foreign experts and scientists on the tradition of "serving religion, loving the country, protecting the nation and bringing peace to the people" of Vietnamese Buddhism in the Ly and Tran dynasties, aiming to draw relevant lessons to apply and make recommendations and solutions for the activities of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, contributing to building a developed, prosperous and strong Vietnam towards great power.

Contribute to sharing and spreading the tradition of "serving the religion, loving the country, protecting the nation and bringing peace to the people" of Vietnamese Buddhism to Buddhists and the people to contribute to propagating the Dharma, building a developed, prosperous and strong Vietnam towards greatness.

Promoting the good and humanistic values ​​of Buddhism in general, and Buddhism in the Ly and Tran dynasties in particular, in explaining and solving contemporary social issues, continuing to implement in the development process of the era of industrialization, modernization, globalization and international integration of Vietnam.

Buddhist monks, nuns, followers and people attended the conference.

The workshop is also an opportunity to encourage and motivate monks, nuns and Buddhists nationwide to actively participate in Buddhist activities organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Buddhist Sangha of the provinces in the spirit of the 9th National Buddhist Congress: "Discipline - Responsibility - Solidarity - Development" demonstrating the mettle, strong will and determination of the whole nation to rise up for the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

It is known that there were 285 papers by scholars and researchers inside and outside the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in many different fields and academic specialties. After receiving comments and criticism from the Scientific Council, the number of papers selected for publication in the proceedings was 165.
