Positive signs after many efforts
The recent proposal to raise the target of international tourists to Vietnam in 2023 to 13 million, an increase of about 156% compared to the plan set at the beginning of the year by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is the clearest evidence showing positive signs of the recovery of Vietnamese tourism. The number of domestic visitors has also reached 93.5% of the target set for the whole year, and is expected to reach and exceed the target of 102 million visitors from now until the end of the year. At the same time, Vietnamese tourism has also been continuously honored by the international community when it became "Asia's Leading Destination" for the 5th time (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023) and won the "Asia's Leading Natural Destination" award for the 2nd time in a row (2022, 2023).

The above positive signals are impressive achievements for a series of continuous efforts by the Government, the Vietnamese tourism industry, and the joint efforts and proactive investment of businesses on the journey to revive Vietnamese tourism after the pandemic and economic recession.
