Closer destinations...
The 2023 Binh Thuan Street Culture Week, a key event in the series of activities for the National Tourism Year “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence” 2023, featured 20 booths showcasing local tourism products. Organized by the Tourism Promotion Center, the Tourism Association, and 10 districts, towns, and cities within the province, it truly served as a highlight, offering local people a clearer perspective on tourism in Binh Thuan.
From the afternoon of August 27th, tourism booths opened, attracting crowds of visitors, not only for information about scenic spots in each locality such as Tanh Linh, Phu Quy, Tuy Phong, Bac Binh, and Phan Thiet City, but also for promotional programs offered by tour companies. In addition, people will learn more about the local products and beautiful scenery of each destination.
Ms. Le Thi Xuan Lieu (Phan Thiet City), who used to travel a lot but has barely gone anywhere in recent years due to the pandemic, shared: “This is an opportunity for people to learn about the cultural values of Vietnam. I am very pleased with this fair; I can find out about prices, destinations, and learn more about other tourist spots.”
“This is a very diverse fair with many goods, but the most impressive are the booths showcasing and promoting tourism and domestic tours. This is a product that helps people in Binh Thuan in particular and people nationwide in general understand that domestic tours are very diverse and beneficial,” shared Mr. Nguyen Hoang Sinh after visiting.
“I think the current prices are very reasonable because people's economic conditions are better now, so it's easy to find information through tour companies to take your family to explore domestic or international travel. People in Binh Thuan should register for tours to discover the scenic spots in Vietnam, because domestic travel also has many interesting things to offer,” Ms. Lieu added.
Aspiration to reach further
Phu Quy Island District participated in the exhibition with products that tourists can discover. “Having the honor of participating in the exhibition space of the Street Culture Week, Phu Quy is bringing products from the sea such as sea cucumbers, wild pineapples, and handicrafts made by the island's people, hoping to introduce Phu Quy to more tourists. Importantly, this year, Phu Quy also has many tourism companies established, creating a new step forward for the island district. Phu Quy is also an island district developing tourism, which is a hot trend among young people today, hopefully contributing to the development of tourism in Phu Quy in particular and Binh Thuan in general,” said Chau Duc Tin, in charge of the Phu Quy tourism booth.
Mr. Bui The Nhan – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – was also present to inspect the organization and shared: “This year, the province is hosting the National Tourism Year, and the organization of booths promoting tourism is underway. The full participation of 10 districts, towns, and cities, and 10 travel agencies, demonstrates the aspiration to respond to the National Tourism Year, spreading the values of the localities to friends near and far within the province, neighboring provinces, and international tourists. This contributes to spreading the positive values of Binh Thuan in general, and Binh Thuan culture in particular, creating a very good destination value after the National Tourism Year and for many years to come. We highly appreciate the efforts of the units participating in this fair.”
"Binh Thuan Street Culture Week 2023" will feature a highly anticipated street festival, where all the traditional festivals such as Cau Ngu, Nghinh Ong, Ka Te, and Dinh Thay Thim will be recreated and paraded for the enjoyment of locals and tourists.
Hopefully, with 20 booths showcasing and promoting tourism products from each locality at this exhibition space, we will receive positive feedback from tourists and local people. An exhibition space with aspirations for the further development of local tourism.
