A series of sea tourism festivals opened
With the advantage of a coastline of more than 3,000 km, sea tourism is a key direction of Vietnam's tourism industry. Vacation activities in our country are often marked by the April 30 - May 1 holiday. Therefore, right before the big holiday week, a series of attractive sea tourism destinations such as Sam Son, Do Son, Cua Lo, ... have events and festivals to stimulate tourism.
In mid-April, in Thanh Hoa province, a series of tourist destinations opened festivals to attract visitors. On April 19, the People's Committee of Hoang Hoa district held the opening ceremony of the Hai Tien Sea Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Hai Tien - Aspiration to shine".
Continuing the series of festivals with the theme "Aspiration to shine", other destinations such as Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa province) are expected to open at 8:00 p.m. on April 24, at the Sea Square of Hai Hoa beach resort.
On April 26, the coastal city of Sam Son also opened a festival to welcome the 2025 summer tourist season. It is known that the opening day will have special activities such as an art festival, sports tournament, and culinary space for visitors to visit, enjoy and have fun.
Besides Thanh Hoa, Nghe An province is having a series of exciting activities to prepare for the upcoming beach tourism season. On the evening of April 19, at Binh Minh Square, Cua Lo, Vinh City People's Committee opened the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Cua Lo - Shining Dawn".
In Ha Tinh province, to prepare for the tourist season, some beaches such as Thien Cam are being actively renovated and upgraded by local people and leaders. Infrastructure systems serving tourism are being invested in and synchronously renovated; tourism propaganda and promotion activities; waste collection and treatment to clean the sea are focused on.
In Ky Anh town (Ha Tinh province), the opening ceremony of sea tourism will be held on April 26 at Ky Ninh beach, with a series of attractive cultural and sports activities such as: art program "Ky Anh town aspires and shines", beer festival, men's and women's beach tug of war, men's volleyball tournament of communes and wards,...
Ensuring safety for tourists, coping with weather fluctuations
Every year, beaches in provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh are always the priority destinations for people living in the North and Central regions. With convenient routes, beautiful scenery, relatively calm beaches, and many attractive specialties, tens of thousands of visitors flock to the summer tourist season. However, to "please visitors when they come and those who go", ensuring the safety of tourists from being "ripped off" or overcharged must be done carefully and thoroughly by provinces and localities.
For example, at the time of the opening festival at Cua Lo beach, Nghe An, there was a phenomenon of a parking lot charging up to 80,000 VND/vehicle, causing outrage among the people. After receiving the information, Mr. Hoang Van Hop, Chairman of Nghi Huong Ward People's Committee (Vinh city, Nghe An) said that the locality had investigated and immediately handled a case of charging 80,000 VND/vehicle parking for tourists.
Previously, the local government had organized restaurants, hotels, accommodation facilities, parking lots, etc. in the area to sign a commitment to comply with regulations on prices and service quality for tourists. Any acts of "ripping off" tourists, which negatively affect the image of the friendly and hospitable Cua Lo tourist city, will be strictly handled.
In addition to the problem of “overcharging” and price gouging, tourist destinations in the North and Central regions need to pay attention to the weather to ensure the safety of visitors. Currently, with climate change, there are unusual monsoons, prolonged heat waves or storms that affect the travel experience of customers.
Experts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting have just made an assessment of the weather in the next 10 days (April 20 - April 29, 2025). From April 23, weak cold air will take effect, the weather will turn rainy and the temperature will decrease. The cold air coming at the end of the month can completely cause passengers to postpone their trips or not be able to experience all tourism services.
In addition, the Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change has forecasted that the climate for the 3-month period (from April to June 2025) will be hot and sunny in 3 months from late April, early May, to June, and extreme phenomena at sea such as storms and rain will appear around the end of June.
To ensure that tourists have a perfect experience, destinations need to have timely response measures. For example, during hot weather, provinces and localities should promote, organize night tours, early morning tours, build many rest huts, roadside rest areas, etc. so that tourists can avoid the heat in time.
