Visit the old French church. The ruined Ba Vi church is located in a unique spot deep within Ba Vi National Park. These are just the remaining ruins of a church built by the French colonialists a long time ago. Inside, there is still the underground residence of a French colonel. The exterior of the church is weathered by time, with moss and overgrown trees, creating an antique feel that makes for a great backdrop for those who don't like flowers and foliage.

Pocket guide
Ba Vi National Park is located in the Ba Vi mountain range, approximately 50km west of central Hanoi. Visitors can travel by motorbike or private car from central Hanoi, taking either Thang Long Boulevard or Highway 32 to reach Ba Vi.
For public transport, visitors can take bus route 74 from My Dinh to Xuan Khanh or route 71 from My Dinh to Son Tay Bus Station to Ba Vi. At the final stop in Xuan Khanh or Son Tay Bus Station, take bus route 110 from Son Tay Bus Station to Ba Vi National Park, stopping at the entrance ticket counter. However, to see the wild sunflowers, it's better to travel by private vehicle. There are many beautiful sights along the way, allowing you to stop and take photos, and it's less tiring than having to take multiple buses.
The route has many steep slopes and dangerous curves, so if traveling by motorbike, tourists must be careful. It's best to visit at midday, avoiding early morning or late evening, as thick fog can significantly obscure visibility. And remember to dress warmly during your journey, as the temperature drops as you ascend, making it easy to catch a cold.
When hunting for wild sunflowers, visitors should choose comfortable clothing, wear hiking boots, and a light jacket. It's also a good idea to bring several different outfits to capture various angles. Bring along some medicated balm and insect repellent. Bring your favorite snacks from home and avoid cooking in the forest. Also, prepare a hat, umbrella, sunscreen, and sunglasses on sunny days. Visitors should only take pictures of the flowers on the trees and absolutely refrain from picking or breaking the branches to preserve the landscape.
Tourism services in Ba Vi are increasingly developing. For overnight stays, visitors can choose from 4-star resorts or guesthouses and homestays built in unique styles, with prices ranging from 200,000 VND/room/night to 2 million VND/room/night.
