Estimated tuition fees of 2 top medical schools in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025, highest is nearly 85 million VND/year

The Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy has just approved the 2025 regular enrollment plan and tuition fees. Accordingly, the highest tuition fee for Dentistry is 84.7 million VND. Next is Medicine at 82.2 million VND/year; Pharmacy at 60.5 million VND/year. The fees for Traditional Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry are 50 million VND/year.

The newly opened Social Work major this year has the lowest tuition fee at 30 million VND/year.

Tuition fees for each major are the same as last year, specifically as follows:

This year, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy enrolls 16 university majors with a total of 2,576 students, through the following methods: considering high school graduation exam results; combining high school graduation exam results with international certificates; direct admission according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; considering university preparatory candidates.

In 2025, Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine plans to collect two tuition fees of 41.8 and 55.2 million VND/year, equivalent to last year.

Specifically, the highest tuition fee is 55.2 million VND in the fields of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Traditional Medicine. The remaining fields have tuition fees of 41.8 million VND. The school commits that tuition fees will not increase more than 10% each year.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine plans to enroll nearly 1,600 students this year, using the following methods: direct admission; considering high school graduation exam scores; considering ability and thinking assessment scores; considering international certificates or combining certificates with high school graduation exam scores.

The admission combinations based on the 2025 high school graduation exam scores remain the same, including B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), B03 (Math, Biology, Literature). The school has removed the secondary criteria for Foreign Language exam scores. If many candidates have the same total admission score at the end of the list, the one with the higher Literature exam score will be admitted.
