Candidates register for the high school graduation exam online from April 21 to April 28. To limit errors and confusion during the registration process, before the official registration period, the Ministry of Education and Training will open the system for candidates to practice registering for the exam.

This year's high school graduation exam has two groups of candidates registering for the exam, so candidates should note that during the registration process, they must choose the program they are studying (General Education Program 2018 or General Education Program 2006). This is the basis for the Department of Education and Training to develop a plan to arrange the exam location and exam questions for candidates.

Candidates taking the high school graduation exam under the 2018 General Education Program will take 4 exams, including 2 compulsory exams in math and literature; 2 optional exams from subjects studied in grade 12.

Candidates taking the high school graduation exam according to the 2006 General Education Program will take exams in literature, math, foreign language and one of two exams in natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) and social sciences (history, geography, civics).
