Flights to Da Nang expected to increase during April 30 - May 1 holidays

According to Da Nang International Airport, during the upcoming 5-day holiday of April 30 and May 1, there will be 285 international flights, an increase of 10%, and 407 domestic flights to Da Nang, an increase of more than 21% compared to the same period last year. On average, Da Nang airport receives 138 flights per day (57 international flights and 81 domestic flights).

There are currently 16 regular international flights and 8 domestic flights to Da Nang. According to the plan, from April to the end of 2025, 6 new international flights to Da Nang will be put into operation.

Including flights from Yangon (Myanmar) operated by Myanmar Airways International with 2 flights/week; charter flights from Astana and Almaty (Kazakhstan) operated by Crystal Bay, Rustar tour and Vietjet Air with 4 flights/week, Anex tour and Azur Air with 4 flights/week, Selfie Travel and Scat Airlines with 2 flights/week.

Charter flights from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) operated by Centrum-Air Airways from April 27 to August 31, with a frequency of 1 flight/week; Dubai - Bangkok - Da Nang route operated by Emirates Airlines from June 2 to October 24, with a frequency of 4 flights/week; Manila (Philippines) route operated by Philippines Airlines from July 1, with a frequency of 7 flights/week; Osaka (Japan) route operated by Vietnam Airlines is expected to resume operations from July 3, with a frequency of 4 flights/week.

During the upcoming holiday, it is expected that there will be a cruise ship arriving at Tien Sa port (AIDASTELLA), bringing 2,000 multinational guests (USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Netherlands...) to visit famous destinations of Da Nang city such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda - Son Tra, Cham Sculpture Museum... (2.5 times increase in the number of guests compared to the same period in 2024).

The number of visitors to Da Nang by train during this holiday is estimated at more than 13,200, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024. The Da Nang Department of Tourism directed the Tourism Promotion Center to coordinate with the Vietnam Railways Corporation to organize a welcome for the special train pair running on the North-South route named "Unification Train" with art performances, traditional musical instruments in the train waiting area, performances of releasing peace doves, welcoming drums; giving flowers and gifts to passengers.

According to the plan, train SE1 departs from Hanoi station at 20:55 on April 29, expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:32 on April 30; the number of passengers getting off in Da Nang is expected to be 240 people. Train SE4 departs from Saigon station at 19:00 on April 29, expected to arrive in Da Nang at 12:42 on April 30; the number of passengers getting off in Da Nang is expected to be 69 people.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism estimates that the total capacity of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation establishments during the upcoming April 30 and May 1 holidays will reach 75-80%. The Department has issued a document requesting tourism service establishments in the area to ensure customer service and organize activities during the holidays; directing the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to ensure safety and environmental sanitation at tourist beaches and Son Tra Peninsula.

At the same time, the People's Committees of districts and towns are requested to strengthen security, order, environmental sanitation, and safety for tourists when participating in tourism activities in the area, and prevent stalking and soliciting tourists. The Tourist Support Center and the City Tourism Rapid Response Team are required to increase their activities to receive information and promptly support incidents related to tourists.
