Vietnamese tourists must declare online before coming to Thailand

Information from the Tourism Authority of Thailand stated that the new entry policy will be applied to international visitors to the country by air, land and water from May 1.

Accordingly, international visitors must declare online via the Digital Immigration System (TDAC) within 3 days before arriving in Thailand.

The digital immigration system or declaration card has the same content as the traditional paper declaration form that was previously applied. However, it will be easier and more convenient for tourists to do it online via the internet.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand said that this new technical system helps the immigration process to be faster, more transparent and safer. At the same time, it helps to reduce paperwork. Tourists are required to declare according to regulations if they want to enter this country.

Tourists coming to Thailand can log in directly to the website tdac.immigration.go.th or scan the QR code on the website and then fill in the necessary personal information such as: full name, nationality, phone number, email, passport number... In addition, tourists also need to provide information about the trip itinerary, including: flight number, hotel address or accommodation.

After completing the procedure, each person will be sent verification information to their personal email. Then, present this card at the immigration counter as soon as you arrive in Thailand.

In addition to Thailand, several countries in Asia have also implemented digital immigration declaration systems. For example, South Korea has implemented the e-Arrival Card, Japan has implemented the Visit Japan Web online service, and Malaysia has popularized the Digital Arrival Card for international visitors, thereby simplifying the immigration process and improving the efficiency of foreign visitor management in each country.
