Tourists enjoy checking in at the “Old Spring Street” space within the framework of the program “Old Tet Fragrance – Today’s Spring Colors”. This program takes place from January 17 to 21 – Photo: THANH THUY
At Bien Dong Park (Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Ngu Hanh Son District), in the program Spring of Love 2025 with the theme "The scent of Tet in the past - The color of spring today", visitors were excited to experience activities that were common during Tet holidays in the past such as making banh in, making jam, wrapping banh tet, banh chung...
Coming here, visitors are introduced to and enjoy dishes with traditional culinary features of Tet such as pickled onions, pork rolls, fried spring rolls...
Besides, the image of the scholar "displaying Chinese ink and red paper" on the street corner, skillfully writing parallel sentences or the shepherd boys and girls jumping around on bamboo poles leave many impressions on tourists.
During a trip to Vietnam, Ms. Shaen (an American tourist) was delighted to see images of Vietnamese Tet.
“The atmosphere here is so bustling, making cakes or participating in games here is a new experience for me. It helps me understand more about Vietnamese culture and people. Everyone here is also very friendly, they enthusiastically invited me to enjoy dishes during Tet in Vietnam,” Ms. Shaen shared.

On Thang Long Street (Cam Le District), the image of the old Tet is also recreated very realistically through the program "Vietnamese Tet - Spring At Ty 2025". Coming here, people and tourists seem to be lost in the past with old roofs, village communal house corners... brightly decorated but still bearing ancient features.
The customs and legends of the traditional Vietnamese New Year are vividly recreated through games such as Bai Choi singing, Lotto singing and many other folk games during Tet. Traditional dishes with the rich flavor of Tet are also displayed, introduced and sold to the people.
Walking around the space decorated for Vietnamese Tet with her daughter, Ms. Ngo Thi My Anh (39 years old, residing in Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district) felt moved when visiting and looking at Tet images that she had not seen for a long time.
“The decorations here are very beautiful, very similar to Tet in the past. My daughter and I have taken many beautiful pictures. From tables, chairs, tablecloths to flower vases, televisions, roofs… everything reminds me of the rustic, simple but warm image of Tet in the past,” said Ms. Anh.
