At around 2:00 p.m. on November 28, a woman wearing a red dress, carrying many belongings, stood on Saigon Bridge , heading from Binh Thanh District to Thu Duc City. When she reached the middle of the bridge, she left her belongings and jumped into the Saigon River .
The woman was rescued safely to shore.
At the scene, this person left behind a black basket, a red suitcase, a phone and a pair of shoes.
Upon discovering the incident, many people rushed to hug the woman but were unsuccessful. The people then shouted that someone had jumped off the Saigon Bridge and received support from members of a tourist canoe group belonging to Saigon River Tour Company Limited.
In the afternoon of the same day, speaking with us, a leader of Saigon River Tour Company Limited said that at the above mentioned time, the captain was operating a canoe on the Saigon River (departing from Cu Chi District to Bach Dang Wharf, District 1), carrying 5 foreign tourists.

While passing through the area, the captain and the tourists heard the screams and returned to the scene and discovered a woman struggling in the water. At this time, 3 foreign tourists and members of the canoe jumped into the Saigon River, rescued the woman, and brought her onto the canoe.
After bringing her safely to shore, everyone calmed her down and then handed her over to the An Khanh Ward Police, Thu Duc City. Because the initial scene of the incident was located in Binh Thanh District, the An Khanh Ward Police (Thu Duc City) handed over the woman to the Ward 22 Police (Binh Thanh District). By the afternoon of the same day, the woman's health had stabilized.
