Tourists to Da Nang increase on April 30 and May 1 holidays

Da Nang International Airport is expected to have 692 flights to Da Nang (an increase of 16% over the same period last year), receiving an average of about 138 flights/day (57 international flights and 81 domestic flights); of which, there are 285 international flights, an increase of 10% over the same period last year; 407 domestic flights, an increase of 21% over the same period last year.

Da Nang Port is expected to have a ship docked at Tien Sa Port, bringing 2,000 multinational visitors (US, UK, Germany, Canada, Netherlands...) to visit famous destinations in Da Nang city such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung - Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum. The number of visitors to Da Nang by train during this holiday is estimated at about 13,243, an increase of 10% over the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, the total capacity of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation facilities is estimated at 75-80%.

To serve the needs of tourists for experience, entertainment, and recreation, there will be many exciting cultural and tourism activities on this occasion. Accordingly, the program to open the 2025 beach tourism season from April 26 to May 2 with the theme "Blue Wave Dance"; the program to stimulate tourism to Da Nang in 2025 "Enjoy Da Nang - Diverse Experience" with many free incentives, attractive service discounts for international and domestic tourists, international tourists returning to Da Nang.

3D Mapping projection to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification at the Da Nang Museum (nights of April 29, April 30, May 1, 2025); organize fire and water spraying at the Dragon Bridge, film the Han River Bridge's navigation rhythm; experience cruising on the Han River; cultural and artistic programs and activities on both banks of the Han River (Street music, Street opera, Street dance...); organize a series of films to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification...

Tourist areas, locations, and accommodations also organize many attractive activities. Da Nang Museum offers free admission; Da Nang Fine Arts Museum organizes an art exhibition with the theme "Da Nang brocade". Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area organizes the Sunflower Festival, Ba Na By Night combo with buffet dinner at Beer Plaza and special shows, giving away red flag shirts with yellow stars to visitors; Danang Downtown organizes the expanded 2025 Lion and Dragon Dance Festival, explore Vui Phet Night Market with more than 50 food stalls.

Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park organizes a parade to welcome the God of Wealth, an Acoustic music show - "Summer Colors", an Animal Actors show; Mikazuki stirs up the festival with a series of interesting entertainment activities such as a Ninja fire dance show combined with fireworks and water music, a "Proud of Vietnam" dance performance, a Japanese art show, a lucky draw...; Toom Sara Village organizes a Co Tu show, a Highland Market, a fire calling scene, folk games; attractive shows such as Ao Dai show, Tien Sa show, Charming show.

Many accommodation establishments organize special and preferential culinary activities and programs to serve guests during this holiday. The Tourism Promotion Center in collaboration with Vietnam Railways Corporation organized a welcoming ceremony for the special train pair running on the North-South route named "The Unification Train" with art performances, traditional musical instruments in the train waiting area, performances of releasing peace doves, welcoming drums; giving flowers and gifts to passengers.

According to the Department of Tourism, implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, the department has issued an official dispatch requesting tourism service establishments in the city to ensure customer service and organize activities during the holidays. The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches ensures safety and environmental sanitation at tourist beaches and Son Tra Peninsula; People's Committees of districts and towns strengthen the work of ensuring security, order, safety, environmental sanitation, and preventing stalking and soliciting tourists when participating in tourism activities in the districts and towns.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, the Department of Culture and Sports assigned the Da Nang Museum to organize a 3D Mapping film screening program "The Story of Da Nang" consisting of 3 consecutive parts, part 1: The origin of Da Nang, part 2: The epic of struggle, part 3: Rising up; recreating the history of the formation and development of Da Nang city through historical periods. This is a unique art program combining sound - light - vivid visual effects, using modern 3D Mapping technology to recreate the history - culture - aspiration for continuous development of Da Nang city. The screening time is from April 29 to May 1, each day includes two screenings: 19:30 to 20:30 and 21 to 22:00, at the front of building No. 42 Bach Dang, Da Nang Museum.
