Reduce conflicts at the four-corner intersections of the market
From 10am on March 25, Hai Chau district authorities have organized a pilot one-way traffic around Han market, a shopping tourist destination in the city center.
During the two rush hours from 10am to 12pm and 4:30pm to 6pm, Hung Vuong and Nguyen Thai Hoc streets will have one-way traffic from Bach Dang to Tran Phu.
Thus, during this time frame, all four roads around Han Market will have one-way traffic. The pilot is to ensure order and traffic safety at an important destination, crowded with foreign tourists.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , on the first day of the pilot, one-way traffic has limited conflicts at intersections around the market. Tourists can cross the street more conveniently.
Major Bui Thanh Xuan, deputy head of Hai Chau District Police, said that during the pilot period from now until March 31, forces will be increased to guide, propagate and regulate traffic at intersections around the market.
At the same time, we will organize an assessment of the situation, traffic volume, and density of vehicles participating in traffic in the directions...
"After the pilot period, we will meet to evaluate the next options to ensure security, order and traffic safety for people and tourists coming to shop here," said Major Xuan.

Do not park on the sidewalk of Han market
Also on March 25, functional forces were mobilized to restore urban order on the sidewalks.
According to the plan of Hai Chau district, 100% of the sidewalk space in the area around Han market (Hung Vuong, Tran Phu, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Bach Dang routes) will not be used as a place to park motorbikes.
Instead, use some vacant land on Nguyen Thai Hoc Street as temporary parking lots for traders and people coming to shop...
On the morning of March 25, some businesses encroaching on the walkway were warned.
Mr. Van Tuong, a Korean-speaking tour guide for a travel company in Da Nang, said that having a force to regulate traffic helps sightseeing and shopping activities go more smoothly.
According to Mr. Tuong, this is a tourist market with a large number of visitors. The peak travel time of the city is also the time when the most tourists come here.
However, the encroachment of sidewalks by households around the market as well as the parking of vehicles makes traffic complicated.
"Just a few steps across the street, but foreign visitors who are not familiar with traffic here are nervous when stepping onto the street. Not to mention that the sidewalks around the market have long been encroached upon, making walking difficult," said Mr. Tuong.

Focus on handling 2 issues around Han market
The leader of Hai Chau District People's Committee said that in the field of traffic, the authorities will inspect and handle acts of parking vehicles in the wrong places, using carts and rudimentary vehicles as business stalls, causing traffic obstruction and spoiling the urban beauty on the route, points and areas of violation.
In the field of urban order, we will focus on completely ending the encroachment of sidewalks around Han market on Tran Phu, Bach Dang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, and Hung Vuong streets.
