From August 1, Da Nang International Terminal officially launched automatic check-in service for tourists. Korean Air is the first airline to apply this technology to flights.
Self check-in kiosks are becoming a trend at modern airport terminals around the world, with the advantage of providing a quick and convenient experience for passengers. Now, passengers at Da Nang International Terminal can proactively choose their seats, check-in procedures... in just 2 minutes.
In the initial phase, the system will prioritize passengers with simple travel documents, such as Koreans returning home, and will then begin expanding to other groups.
According to Thanh Nien reporters on the afternoon of August 2, at Da Nang International Airport, there were quite a few passengers using the self check-in kiosk service. Most passengers were quite satisfied with the benefits of speed, simple operations, clear display procedures on the touch screen, and easy-to-understand bilingual content of this new device.
To ensure that all passengers can use it easily, Da Nang International Terminal has arranged a PAT (Passenger Assistant Team) team to support everywhere, especially around the self-check-in area. These green-shirted staff are always available 24/7 to provide detailed and dedicated instructions to passengers.
Visitors can proactively choose their seats, check-in procedures... on the self-check-in kiosk without having to wait in line. This is an automated check-in solution chosen for investment to digitize the process at Da Nang International Airport, which contributes to reducing airport congestion during peak hours.
Da Nang International Terminal has recently implemented many innovations to facilitate every experience. Typical examples are the self-check-in baggage system, automatic boarding pass control at departure gates... all aimed at improving the travel process to be more convenient.
Mr. Do Trong Hau, Deputy General Director of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) shared: "Anything that can maximize the experience for passengers, our team always prioritizes implementation. Not only focusing on the starting and ending points of the journey, but the entire space here will be constantly upgraded to be able to fully meet all needs.
After completing the automatic check-in procedure with his family to return to Korea, ending an impressive trip in the Central provinces, Mr. Lee Ki Jung (a Korean tourist) shared: "I feel very satisfied with the automatic check-in service, the operations are simple and easy to understand, helping passengers save time and especially not having to wait in line like before."
Currently, Da Nang airport international terminal has arranged 10 self-check-in counters for passengers to check in automatically.
Recently, Da Nang City has organized a series of activities to attract tourists. According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in July 2023 alone, Da Nang's revenue from accommodation and catering services reached VND 2,185.2 billion, up 6.3% over the previous month and up 30.7% over the same period in 2022. Of which, revenue from the accommodation sector is estimated at VND 1,012 billion, up 32.4% over the same period; the catering sector is estimated at VND 1,173 billion, up 29.2% over the same period.
