According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (November 2), in the North, a cold air mass is moving south.

Around the night of November 3, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast; then affect the North Central region, most places in the Northwest and some places in the Central Central region. The Northeast wind inland will strengthen to level 3, coastal areas level 4.

From November 4, the weather in the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will turn cold; from November 5-6, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions will generally be between 17-19 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas below 15 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone combined with strengthening cold air, from early morning on November 3, in the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai, there will be widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms; from early morning on November 4, in the Northeast, there will be scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.

Heavy rain and localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods in small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.
