Weather forecast 11/2/2024: The North turns cold, the Central region prepares for heavy rain

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the evening of November 1, cold air covered most of the Northeast region, spreading to some places in the North Central region. The Gulf of Tonkin recorded strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.

In the evening and night of November 1, cold air will affect the remaining areas in the North Central region, some places in the Northwest and Central Central regions. Northeast winds inland will strengthen to level 2-3, coastal areas to level 3-4.

From the night of November 1, the weather in the North will turn cold, and the mountainous areas will be cold. The lowest temperature is commonly 19-21 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 16-19 degrees Celsius, and in high mountainous areas, some places will be below 15 degrees Celsius.

From November 3-5, the area from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue will have heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally 100-200mm, in some places over 300mm. In particular, from Ha Tinh to Da Nang, rainfall is generally 200-400mm, locally over 500mm.

From November 6, heavy rain is likely to continue and expand from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh, lasting for many days to come.

Central Highlands
