Regarding the flood situation on the rivers in the North, in the coming hours, water levels on most rivers tend to decrease.

However, water levels at many downstream stations of the Red River - Thai Binh River system tend to change slowly, generally at high levels, from alert level 3 to above alert level 3.

In addition, the process of flood drainage and reduction on the Red River system is likely to be slow, so flooding in riverside and alluvial areas in the coming days will continue for many days in low-lying areas, low-lying riverside areas, and alluvial areas outside the main dykes in the following provinces and cities: Hanoi , Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, and Hai Duong.

Prolonged high flood levels can cause riverbank dykes to overflow, landslides on dykes and embankments, seriously affecting vulnerable riverbank locations in the following provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ha Nam , Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh.

Below is the forecast of flood developments on the rivers of the North:
