According to information from the Ministry of Finance at the end of the afternoon of January 30, the supply of goods is still sufficient to meet demand because in large provinces and cities, many more supermarkets and shopping centers have reopened to welcome customers such as: BRG Mart, Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, BigC and Go!...

Some large supermarkets such as Aeon Mall, Giga Mall and convenience stores such as Circle K, Family Mart, B's mart, Agami... still operate throughout Tet from the first day of Tet to serve people's need to buy essential goods, ensuring that the supply chain is not interrupted, helping people to easily shop in the first days of the new year.

"The fact that supermarket systems maintain operations throughout Tet has had a positive impact on the market, helping to maintain an abundant supply of goods, always ready to meet people's shopping needs when traditional markets are temporarily closed for Tet," said a representative of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the rule of the first days of the New Year, people mainly go on spring trips to spiritual areas and large entertainment venues across the country, which will attract a large number of visitors to visit and have fun, so the prices of services such as private parking, food and beverage services and incense offerings may increase compared to normal days due to increased labor costs during the Tet holiday. Some carbonated soft drinks, beer and soft drinks near tourist attractions by small businesses serving the needs of spring tourists may increase in price.

From the third day of Tet, as every year, the market will gradually become more vibrant as people start going out for Tet, the demand for travel increases and entertainment centers and venues will begin to reopen. Therefore, the Ministry of Finance recommends that ministries, branches and localities continue to closely monitor the supply and demand developments, market prices of goods under their management, especially essential goods, goods with high price fluctuations in the area to proactively plan to ensure a balance of goods to meet people's consumption needs, stabilize the market, avoid shortages, disruptions in goods sources, causing sudden price increases.

According to information from the Ministry of Finance, in the Hanoi market, on the second day of Tet, people mainly went to wish each other a happy new year, so there was not much demand for shopping. Regarding vegetables, tubers and fruits, although the weather was cold, the supply of vegetables and fruits was quite abundant and diverse, so the prices did not fluctuate too much.

The prices of some popular vegetables are currently: Tomatoes range from 10,000 - 12,000 VND/kg, potatoes are 15,000 - 20,000 VND/kg, broccoli is sold for 12,000 - 15,000 VND/tree... The prices of delicious fruits that are popular for going to pagodas tend to increase slightly locally in some areas: Cat Chu mango 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg; Canh orange 50,000 - 70,000 VND/kg; Dragon fruit 60,000 - 70,000 VND/kg...
