Coffee price forecast tomorrow March 26, 2025 to increase again.
Experts say the main reason for the recent high coffee prices is the decrease in global supply, domestic farmers selling sparingly, and the world market being in shortage.
According to the Vietnam Commodity Exchange (MXV), unfavorable weather conditions in the world's two leading coffee producing countries, Brazil and Vietnam, have pushed up prices of this commodity last week.
Weather concerns in Brazil are pushing up arabica prices after Cooxupe, Brazil’s largest arabica coffee cooperative, said high temperatures and lower-than-normal rainfall last month in Brazil could negatively impact this year’s coffee crop.
Additionally, supplies are currently tight as ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories have fallen to low levels.
In Vietnam, coffee exports are showing positive signs. In the first half of March, export volume reached nearly 94,000 tons with a value of over 544 million USD, a sharp increase in both volume and value compared to the previous month. Since the beginning of the year, the total coffee export volume has exceeded 406,000 tons, reaching a value of over 2.2 billion USD.
The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association said that the export price of Arabica coffee has exceeded 6,800 USD/ton – the highest level ever. Meanwhile, Robusta coffee has also reached nearly 5,400 USD/ton. Although output has decreased, thanks to high prices, the export value has still increased by more than 30%.
