UpRace organizers said that these social organizations need to have a license to operate in Vietnam, especially those operating in the fields of education, health, and environment. The application period lasts from May 29 to June 23, 2023.

Some core criteria for UpRace to choose to accompany include: Social impact that the organization brings, Ability to execute the plan, Legal/financial transparency and Openness in cooperation. In addition, social organizations need to be able to disburse at least 500 million VND/project.

Social organizations wishing to become a part of the UpRace 2023 project and expand their operational capacity and support for the community can submit their applications. The UpRace Organizing Committee will evaluate and select 3-4 suitable social organizations and send an official notice around early July 2023.

Launched to the community in 2018, UpRace's charity sports model has effectively connected runners, businesses and social organizations. Each kilometer a runner contributes is converted into 1,000 VND, then VNG and sponsors will support the beneficiary social organizations on behalf of the runners.

During the past 5 years (2018 - 2022), UpRace has donated nearly 25 billion VND to social organizations. This amount has been sponsored to organizations such as the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam, Newborns Vietnam, Operation Smile Vietnam, Green Viet, Vietseeds, Saigon Children's Charity and Save Vietnam's Wildlife to implement many meaningful programs, activities and campaigns.
