Phu Binh 2 220kV Transformer Station Project: Will be energized in April 2025

The working delegation of the Northern Power Corporation organized the acceptance and review of preparations for energizing the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation Project and the 220kV Phu Binh 2 transmission line branching from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang.

Started in September 2024, the project has now completed 99% of its progress as planned. Specifically, it includes: Construction of a new 220kV line; construction of an operating house, installation of 2 220/110/22kV transformers, total capacity of 500MVA; fire prevention and fighting system... At the acceptance inspection and review of preparations for energizing the Phu Binh 2 220kV Substation Project and the Phu Binh 2 220kV line branching from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang organized by the Northern Power Corporation recently, the working group confirmed that the construction work items met technical and quality requirements and fully ensured the conditions for energizing as planned.

Up to now, the Phu Binh 2 220kV Transformer Station Project has ensured the conditions for energization as planned.

The 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation and the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Transmission Line project from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang will meet the electricity demand in the southern region of Thai Nguyen province, industrial parks, and neighboring medium-voltage loads; strengthen regional grid connectivity, and improve the stability and safety of the national power system.
