China team tied Singapore team in the first leg, the return match is still "sold out"

A few days ago, the Chinese national team caused a big disappointment when they were held to a 2-2 draw by the Singaporean national team in a match held in Singapore. That was a match in which the Chinese national team led 2-0 but in the end, they were still held to a draw by the home team. This draw put the Chinese national team at a disadvantage in the race for a ticket to the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.

After the match, many Chinese fans expressed their disappointment with the team. Some even criticized coach Branko Ivanković, even though the match was only his first in charge of the team.

However, according to the latest information from SINA and Sohu, the attraction of the second leg match between China and Singapore is still very large. Accordingly, 60,000 tickets issued for fans to enter the Tianjin Olympic Stadium to watch the match have been sold out. It is also the first match of the Chinese team at home under coach Branko Ivanković.

Chinese media confirmed that this is both a source of motivation and pressure for Wu Lei and his teammates. If they cannot beat Singapore in the return match with a large crowd, the Chinese team will likely fall into crisis.

The match between China and Singapore will take place at 7pm on March 26.
