After storm No. 3, nearly 1 hectare of Acacia auriculiformis tree in Mrs. Ha's house was broken and lying on the hill. Feeling sorry for the money and effort, Mrs. Ha took advantage of a few sunny days to hire people to cut down the trees and clean the garden. She sold the big trees to carpenters, and collected the small branches to bring home for firewood. As for the pile of dry Acacia leaves, she asked her son to take advantage of the weekend to collect them into bags and bring them home to burn. - Burning here is convenient, but I have to be careful. Dry acacia branches burn slowly. If burned here, the embers will fly into the acacia garden next to Uncle Toan's house that hasn't been cleared yet and then spread to the ancient chestnut forest, then "distant water can't put out a nearby fire."
- Don't worry too much, Mom. The rangers are always on patrol. Besides, the chestnut forest is quite far from our house and can't burn - said Minh.
- Don't be subjective, son. It was just last year, not so long ago. Just because it was convenient, because I was afraid to clean up the garden after pruning the acacia branches, your father didn't collect the dry branches and leaves and bring them down to the house to deal with. The prolonged dry weather caused a part of the garden to burn.
Listening to her mother and husband talking, daughter-in-law Linh added:
- Mom is right. The weather has been dry these days, burning trees and leaves here is very dangerous. There was just a forest fire in Kinh Mon.
- Then later, I will go with dad to tell uncle Toan and uncle Hung to clean the garden, mom - Minh understood and eagerly took care of the work.
