At the Hai Ba Trung district one-stop shop at 10am, there were about 15 citizens doing procedures, many of whom were teachers registering their business households to teach extra classes.

Talking to PV Tien Phong, Ms. NTTN (Bach Dang ward, Hai Ba Trung district) said that she is a freelance teacher. After Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDDT took effect, she immediately registered to facilitate organizing extra classes at home.

Ms. N. said that she had registered online, but since it was her first time, she was still confused about the procedure. She had to do it over and over again before she finished, and today she went to the district to receive the results.

"According to the appointment, the results will be returned after 3 days. Today I came to get the results. The only thing is that this morning I had to go twice because I didn't know how to bring the original diploma and certificate for comparison. In addition, I'm not sure how to declare taxes, so I will ask the staff for further instructions," said Ms. N.

Application submission area at Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee

At the one-stop shop of Nam Tu Liem district, many teachers showed up early to complete the business registration procedures. However, due to running out of numbers, some people had to submit their applications in the afternoon.

A representative of the Hai Ba Trung District One-Stop Shop said that in recent days, the number of people coming to register for business registration procedures for tutoring has increased, and the shop receives and processes about 20 related documents every day. There are no pending documents that need to be waited for.

This person added that the principle of registering a business household will not allow it to be located in an apartment building, collective house... so finding a place to teach will be more difficult than before.

Circular 29/2024/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating extra teaching and learning will take effect from February 14. This Circular will replace Circular 17/2012/TT-BGDĐT. Circular 29 has 8 new points compared to current regulations. It requires organizations and individuals who teach extra classes to register their business. This is the reason why in recent days, many teachers have gone to district one-stop shops to register their business.

In fact, after Circular 20 took effect, most teachers who taught extra classes outside of school stopped teaching extra classes to complete procedures, and some continued to teach online.
