Dong Van effectively uses capital resources of national target programs

BHG - In recent years, Dong Van district has focused on effectively implementing capital from three national target programs: New Rural Development; sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

In 2025, Dong Van district was assigned over 164 billion VND in capital for 3 national target programs: Sustainable poverty reduction; socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and new rural construction.

The inter-village road Ta Phin B - Sua Lung, Ta Phin commune was invested in construction to help people travel conveniently, promoting economic development in the region.

Comrade Do Quoc Huong, Chairman of Dong Van District People's Committee, said: Investment resources from national target programs are the "leverage" for the district's poverty reduction work, so right from the implementation of the programs, the district pays special attention to planning and budget allocation to implement the programs according to the annual and phase plans. The District People's Committee directs communes to review people's needs, deploy investment in the right areas, right subjects, meeting the urgent needs of the people. During the implementation process, ensure the appraisal process, arrangement, and disbursement of investment capital in accordance with the provisions of law. In particular, focus on decentralizing to communes to be investors in a number of projects, focusing on prioritizing the construction of infrastructure systems to serve people's lives and production. Up to now, from the capital of the national target programs, the district has allocated and supported the construction of rural infrastructure and the construction of grassroots cultural institutions such as cultural houses, schools, and rural concrete roads to initially ensure the lives of people, especially in difficult villages and communes.

Ta Phin is an inland commune of Dong Van district. In recent years, from the capital of the National Target Program, many rural works have been invested in construction, infrastructure has been gradually ensured, serving the production and life of the people. Sua Lung is a difficult village of Ta Phin commune, one of the three villages without electricity in the commune. In 2024, from the capital of the National Target Program, the district assigned the District Construction Investment Project Management Board to be the investor to implement the construction of the concrete road connecting Ta Phin B village to Sua Lung village with the main items: Construction of road surface, foundation, drainage. The total length of the road is 3.2 km, designed according to the standards of rural mountainous roads, ensuring technical requirements on road surface width, road foundation, curb, drainage works, etc. The total construction investment is over 5.2 billion VND.

Capital from the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas helps people in Dong Van town (Dong Van) stabilize their lives.

Comrade Sung Va Say, Secretary of the Party Cell of Sua Lung village, shared: The construction of the concrete road can be said to have lit up the people of Sua Lung village with faith in a brighter future. Because, after the road is completed, people will not only have a convenient road to travel, trade, and promote economic development; up to now, the District Electricity has erected poles and brought electricity to households in the village. This has been a long-standing dream of the people of Sua Lung village.

It is known that, up to now, projects and sub-projects of the National Target Programs in Dong Van district have been and are being effectively implemented along with other programs and policies. Thereby, the infrastructure of the district, communes and towns has been gradually improved; socio-economic development has been positive and effective... contributing to solving difficulties in the material and spiritual life of the people of all ethnic groups. The improved life has strengthened the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State, creating trust between the people and local Party committees and authorities. From there, it helps each person promote their internal strength, join hands with Party committees and authorities to build their homeland more and more prosperous.
