BHG - Dong Van is a district with an abundant labor force. Since the beginning of the year, the district has made efforts to synchronously implement many solutions to achieve the goal of creating jobs for 3,800 workers in 2025. Currently, the district has over 5,200 workers working outside the province. In recent years, the district has effectively implemented policies on vocational training, consulting, and job placement for rural workers, especially the poor; prioritized resources for investment in vocational training facilities; linked vocational training with job placement. In particular, special attention is paid to implementing vocational training programs associated with improving the quality of local human resources. Regularly coordinate to organize direct job fairs in disadvantaged communes. By the end of March 2025, the district's professional department had coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center, the Coal and Minerals Company, and the Vietnam Coal and Minerals Group to organize 43 job placement and consultation conferences; and created jobs for 1,766 new workers. Of which, 327 workers worked locally; 573 workers worked outside the province and 866 workers worked in China.
Along with that, the district is interested in solving on-site employment for people. Accordingly, communes and towns have closely followed the local economic development resolution to select suitable training occupations; coordinated with the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education to open training classes, teach vocational skills and grant certificates to rural workers in many occupations such as: Animal husbandry, cultivation, beekeeping, textiles... Every year, communes and towns also proactively review the number of untrained workers; learn about the vocational training needs of the people to develop appropriate vocational training plans. The district also regularly directs specialized departments to pay attention to vocational training associated with the employment needs of businesses operating in the area. Thanks to that, the number of trained rural workers is increasing.

Like many young Mong people in Dong Van, due to circumstances, Vang Mi Sai, Lan Xi A village, Pho Cao commune, had to drop out of school early to help his family. During a job consultation and introduction conference organized by Dong Van district in coordination with Khe Cham Coal Company (Quang Ninh), Sai decided to choose to work here. Vang Mi Sai shared: After applying to work at Khe Cham Coal Company, I was trained thoroughly and assigned to work in the tunnel digging workshop. I quickly adapted to the job and became proficient. Working hard and doing enough work, I earned over 300 million VND/year. I was commended by the Company and Dong Van district as one of the miners with high income, stable life, and enough conditions to take care of my family.
Comrade Do Quoc Huong, Chairman of Dong Van District People's Committee, said: In recent times, local Party committees and authorities have been proactive and active in solving employment for workers. Thanks to that, this work has had a clear change. In 2024, the poverty rate in the district decreased by 11.53%. In the coming time, the district will continue to direct specialized departments, communes and towns to step up propaganda and mobilize people, especially people of working age. At the same time, the district will also proactively coordinate with units and enterprises to do a good job of consulting and introducing jobs; organize vocational training classes for rural workers.
