The new house started construction in May 2023 and was completed after 4 months. That same year, Lau Mi No's family also received financial support from the State to raise breeding cows. Not only did they have a solid and spacious house, the family also had livestock to raise. "Those things were like "capital" for my husband and I to think about economic development in the future. Since then, I have felt motivated, like I have just picked up all the hardships and thrown them away," Lau Mi No confided.

Not only receiving financial support to build a house, Lau Mi No's family also received financial support from the state to raise breeding cows.

Visiting the house of more than 100 square meters, Lau Mi No introduced: During the construction process, I received help and encouragement from departments, organizations and relatives in the village. Currently, the family has followed the guidance of the commune officials, moved the livestock to a separate area from the main house to maintain hygiene. The unexpected joy has motivated the family to overcome difficulties to do business and educate their children.

Building houses from "Party's will, people's heart"

Vice Chairman of Sang Tung Commune People's Committee, Vang Mi No informed: Sang Tung is located nearly 30 km from the center of Dong Van district, due to complex terrain and harsh climate, the lives of people in 15 villages are still difficult and arduous. Implementing Project 5 of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, from 2022 to present, Sang Tung commune has 20 poor households supported to build houses, with a support level of 44 million VND/household, of which the central budget is 40 million VND/household, the local budget is 4 million VND/household. Before the joy of the households receiving housing support, Mr. Vang Mi No also excitedly said that during the implementation of the Project, Sang Tung commune always received close guidance from all levels and sectors, especially the participation and response of the people. This meaningful work will contribute to hunger eradication and poverty reduction for people in remote areas, ethnic minorities continue to stick to their land and villages, work and produce with peace of mind, stabilize their lives; strengthen people's trust in the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

Practical experience in Sang Tung commune shows that the beneficiaries are those who are reviewed and evaluated in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and the right beneficiaries. The newly completed houses ensure 3 hard (hard foundation - wall - roof).

In particular, the Party Committees and authorities of Sang Tung commune always determine that they not only support people to have a warm home to develop their economy with peace of mind, but also care about preserving culture and national identity through the architecture of the house. 100% of the houses built in the commune under the Project are approved by competent authorities according to the traditional architecture of the people.
