Dong Thap will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Agriculture and Rural Development

DTO - In order to propagate and educate the traditional history and achievements over 80 years of development of the Agriculture and Rural Development (AARD) sector, on April 18, the Provincial People's Committee issued a Plan to organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Agriculture and Rural Development sector (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025).

The province plans to organize a meeting between former leaders of the sector through the periods with cadres, civil servants and public employees of the agricultural sector on November 14, 2025, to review the glorious tradition, arouse pride, promote responsibility, initiative, creativity and intelligence of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the agricultural sector, enterprises, cooperatives, associations, industry associations and farmers in the province.

From April 2025 to November 2025, the province organized many emulation activities to celebrate the traditional day of the agriculture and rural development sector, such as: Thematic emulation movement "Dong Thap agriculture and rural development sector competes to achieve achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the sector's traditional day (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025)"; Traditional sports festival for civil servants, public employees, and agricultural workers to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the sector's traditional day; Thematic workshop "Digital transformation of agriculture - New step in modern agriculture"; Conference "Dong Thap agriculture - history of formation and development"; activity "Green embankment project to prevent landslides" (integrating the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho"); activity "Releasing fish to regenerate aquatic resources"...

The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with agencies, units and localities to organize the implementation; coordinate with media and press agencies to propagate the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Sector. Provincial departments and branches, based on their assigned functions and tasks, shall coordinate to propagate the significance of the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Sector; encourage the organization and implementation of appropriate response activities. The People's Committees of districts and cities shall, based on actual conditions, decide on the time, form and scale of activities in response to the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Sector.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of the province to coordinate in integrating propaganda and implementing appropriate activities in response to the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Agriculture and Rural Development Sector.
