Dong Thap Recognizes 151 Community Tourism Development Spots

DTO - The People's Committee of Dong Thap province has just issued a Decision approving the list of community tourism development sites in the province. Of which, there are 105 tourism development sites and 46 sites on the planned list of tourism development sites.

Accordingly, Sa Dec City leads with 22 community tourism spots, followed by Cao Lanh City and Lai Vung District, each with 15 spots. These tourist spots focus on eco-tourism, traditional craft villages and local cultural experiences, contributing to promoting sustainable tourism economy and enhancing the value of regional specialties.

Regarding the list of planned tourism development sites, Cao Lanh district has up to 8 community tourism sites such as: Xuong Mango Garden (Mr. Nguyen Van Mach), My Xuong Mango Garden (Mr. Tran Phu Hau), historical relic of Thu Ngoc Hau - Nguyen Van Thu Temple, Xom Ray Market... These are places with the potential to attract tourists with sightseeing activities and cultural experiences typical of the locality.

Hong Ngu District is also planning many potential tourist destinations such as Long Thuan Rural Market, Thuong Thoi Tien town sandbar and Long Khanh A community tourism. In addition, in Hong Ngu City, a number of new tourist destinations are being planned and developed including: Dinh An Binh Aquatic Resources Conservation Area, Ecological Date Palm Garden, Open-air Buddha Statue Spiritual Tourism Area.
