Dong Quan, Tuyet Nhung, Di Oanh sing the victory song "School Stage"

Teacher Phan Ho Hai, Principal of Nguyen Cong Tru High School, thanked the actors and singers for bringing the School Stage program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification to students.

On the afternoon of April 21, the School Stage 2025 program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) organized by Nguyen Cong Tru High School, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Lac Long Quan Stage Club - Tran Huu Trang Theater took place very excitingly with heroic songs, contributing to welcoming the important event of the country.

This is an activity to increase students' participation and love when studying "Music" according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program at school; at the same time, it integrates the organization of the topic: "Formation and development of cultural and artistic forms of Ho Chi Minh City" in the Local Education subject for 10th grade students. The program has received enthusiastic responses from a large number of students through performances with folk and revolutionary songs: Ca canh: "Nho ong thay", "Dat nuoc ton niem vui", "Vam co dong", "Thuyen em di trong dem", Medley: "TP HCM - aspiration and belief", "Loving the City to write epic", "Vietnam, oh!", Rap "Goc pho mau ca ca" ... and the folk play "Chuyen nha nang Hen".

Singer Dong Quan performed for the first time with singer Tuyet Nhung the duet "Thuyen em di trong dem" by musician Nguyen Phu Yen, talking about the joy of the April 30 victory day, when the army and people of the South joined in the fighting spirit and won total victory. Singer Dong Quan was also cheered by the student audience when he performed the song "Vam co dong" (poem by Hoai Vu, music composed by Truong Quang Luc), performed with singer Di Oanh.

I think this is a very useful initiative of the school because it is organized on the occasion of the whole country looking towards April 30, towards the Fatherland, together marking and cherishing the heroic past that our nation has gone through" - singer Dong Quan confided.

He was encouraged when he sang the song "The Country is Full of Joy" by musician Hoang Ha, the students sang along, clapped their hands and the whole school was filled with red flags with yellow stars. The atmosphere of the exchange was likened to a musical march, recreated for the student audience, evoking a journey that the soldiers of the past took from the north to the south, from hardship to the joy of victory.

Singer Di Oanh emotionally said: "These performances are a harmony connecting joy and excitement when the two parts of the homeland Vietnam are reunited. I am very happy to participate in singing in this meaningful school stage program."

Author Pham Thi Ngoc Bich (student of People's Artist Hong Van, artist Huu Nghia) wrote the script and staged the folk comedy: "The Story of Miss Hen's House", for her to perform with Huy Truong, Thu Thao, Yen Phuong, Thanh Hieu, Quang Dai, Di Oanh... bringing charming laughter.

The singers and actors shared their joy, pride and emotion when performing in a special School Stage atmosphere. Also participating were familiar faces: La Tran Duc Thien, Chau Nhat Tinh, Que Dinh, Thu Thao, Nguyen Tram, Ngoc Trang, To Kim Ngan, Van Hau, Yen Nhi, Vuong Quynh Anh, Quang Dai, Vu Truc...

"When I sing, I often put myself in the shoes of soldiers and sing in a way that makes the audience truly love those who enthusiastically go to war and fight to protect their homeland" - singer Chau Nhat Tin said.

As for musician Huy Truong, he told the story that since he was a child he loved traditional revolutionary songs and thought that red music gave him many opportunities to compose.

Recently, he participated in the song composition campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" of Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper and the song he composed with Hoang Trung Anh "Love the City and Write Epic History" ranked number 1 in the first three weeks of the readers' vote.

"That was a great encouragement for us to decide to include this song in the School Stage program. To sing revolutionary songs well, we must read a lot and understand deeply about the history of the nation. We have been reading and learning to compose more songs about the glorious April 30 victory of our nation" - Huy Truong said.
